I don't have all the details of what was said exactly and neither do you. Is it possible he accidentally called him David instead of La David for example initially or perhaps cell phone cut out? Trump isn't the most polished politician so wouldn't put it past him.

Mrs. Johnson said he didn't remember it and then stumbled as he read it.

I'm unconvinced either side is telling the whole truth. I'll never know of course as I wasn't privy to the phone call. In any case, I think it's pretty obvious that Trump could've handled the discrepancy differently.
Plus, US policy isn't to immediately recover soldiers whatever the cost, but the US does have an obligation to recover everyone eventually.
There are simply times when it is wrong to endanger troops trying to rescue or retrieve fallen comrades, or ones who are caught behind enemy lines. Where it is possible to do so, then the attempt will be made. When it is not, it won't.
You cannot expect rescue mission from an unknown hostile territory to be perfect. Honestly speaking, 48 hours does not sound out of ordinary.
When an op fails, there will be an investigation underway. So this whole "They intentionally left him behind" accusation is irresponsible. (pretty ignorant too.)

Mrs. Johnson just come forth on TV to back up the Congresswoman and tell her impression of the call and with in minutes Trump tweeted his version. He just can't let it drop.
At least he did not lie to their face like Hillary did to the Bengazi widows.
So true , and those people asked for help before it happened , then she lied and got away with it , imagine if Trump as done that .
