No they are not a major oil producer and exporter.
Total world oil production in 2019 averaged 80,622,000 barrels per day. Approximately 68% came from the top ten countries, and an overlapping 44% came from the fourteen current OPEC members, in the table found in the link.
The irony is that they have to burn high levels of fossil fuels to get the resources necessary to create electric cars. The carbon output of electric cars is often higher than most fossil fuel burning cars. For the left, it's all about feeling good while wallowing in ignorance.
If EV's are such a good idea why do they have to legislated into existance?
I think EV's are still clearly more expensive than conventional cars.
