Funny to see local TV today showing the airport. All the people realizing they were on camera pulling their mask up over their nose.
Mask below the nose is unlikely to expose anyone to more risk. Most of the risk comes from people talking (and spewing air particles). The nose is not a problem unless the person is sneezing.
in some cases going around shaming people could be considered harassment. they did studies in psychology and shaming people triggers the trauma centers in the brain. most of the time you might be safe shaming people but it only takes that one time where you meet the wrong person and shame them.
I haven't been to Boston. But, I have been to NYC and San Francisco, and walked around maskless outdoors. Often, the only one. No one shamed me. Sometimes I walked into stores accidentally without one, and they'd gently remind me to put one on. That was it.

Were you not aware people breathe through their nose????

They breathe through their mask. And the virus goes in and out without problems if it's already airborne. It's before it's airborne where masks work. Not after.
Is there any CDC approved masks that are made in the USA? All the disposable masks, etc. I'm seeing are made in China. Pretty interesting that China "supposedly" let the virus out and, now, all the masks being sold are "made in China". I'm serious about this and I really don't want a "homemade" mask from a crafter. Those are not made to CDC standards.

Masks most people are wearing don't protect the wearer.
No, they don't. Numerous randomized controlled trials prove it, yet the Mayo Clinic insists on perpetrating the myth that they somehow offer significant protection against a virus less than 3 microns in diameter.
But keep believing that wearing a dirty cloth bandana means you are "saving lives." I hope you wear a mask for the rest of your life if it makes you as happy as it appears.
