Bloomberg wasn't quite clear, they are in fact getting around $580 million from Florida to relocate employees from California. This is a more concise article that is also carried in the LA Times.

DeSantis is in a weird place attacking and incentivizing the same company, he sounds psychotic.

But the company that has created magical experiences for both kids and adults for decades recently announced it would be moving some 2,000 Walt Disney Company jobs from the Burbank/Glendale area to Orlando, Florida, to cash in on $580 million in tax credits expected to be paid out over the next 19 years.

The jobs include positions in finance, human resources, technology, communications and imagineers — with average salaries of $120,000.

The company said it favored Florida for its business-friendly climate, better housing prices, lower income tax, less crowded schools and better roads with less traffic.

Psychotic? What he did is genius. It gives a clear signal to woke companies, and Disney@FL specifically to stop messing around with/stay out of politics.

Your article did not explain where the incentives originate from. If these incentives originate from the fund that can be used by any company (from the article posted by Bloomberg), then this is not hypocritical, as it would be discrimination to say, "Companies are allowed to use these tax incentives to do business in Florida, except for Disney.".

Is it a little weird for Governor DeSantis? Yes. (Though, spending bills originate in the House) But, it seems to pass the logic test.

Florida is just flat land and nothing special.

LMFAOOOOOO!!!! Is this a serious post?! It snows in Montana! Why do you think Disneyland is in Cali and Disney World is in Florida? Because Walt knew both spots never get snow!! And even if they were to get snow, it's one of those incredibly rare moments in history. Walt even stated he wanted WDW in Florida for the tropical vibe Florida gives off.

Disney isn't moving anywhere. Especially with how huge the park has become. What you and many others fail to realize is Disney needs Florida just as much as Florida needs Disney. And I'd much rather live in Florida than Montana, sorry.

What makes Florida ugly? The "evil Republicans?" You're a prime example of why some people can never work in marketing. Mississippi, seriously? You clearly don't understand how demographics work.

His interpretation over that section is also incorrect.

I wonder why the Democrats have such a stiffy over protecting Disney
