The stimulus was a complete dud. If the stimulus were so great, why have we lost 1.6 million jobs since it was signed? This number will be greater than 2 million jobs lost once this Friday's jobs report is released.

I don't care who supported it, especially if it's the same Economists who failed to see this Economic collapse coming and continue to promote the same easy money policies from the Fed that caused this collapse. I'd rather listen to (which I do) the dozen or so people (Peter Schiff, Gerald Celente, Marc Faber, Tom Woods, Ron Paul, etc.) who saw this coming and knew why it was going to happen.

St joseph is a non profit catholic hospital but they also charge. if you are not poor enough for welfare but not earning enough for health insurance or have a pre diagnosed illness and cannot get insurance they do not give cancer treatment to you free.they will try to help you get insured but no guarantees

Healthcare in America is never free. Someone ends up paying for it. Oh i forgot that was "socialism"
If you go to a a&e you will only get stabalised but you pay for it. If you don't have money they will come after you. If they cannot find you then it comes out of our taxes.

everyone uses socialism as the excuse to not have healthcare for everyone. America has socialism and always will. It isn't socialism that scares the anti UHC brigade, it is the fear of every citizen getting great healthcare and taking away their Elite status.

LOL, I love this argument. Guess what? As people who are against gay marriage like to say, "marriage is not a right in the constitution", however heteros are able to get married. Can't quite figure that one out Maybe I should rephrase it & say "because people SHOULD be allowed to get help when they're sick because it is the humane & right thing to do". Does that help, or are you ok w/allowing your best friend, family member, co-worker, neighbor, etc. live w/a possible terminal disease & have to worry about living out the rest of their lives paying for that? Wait, don't answer that, I already know. I just love the love that's spreading in this thread!

LOL! Few if any insurance pays for strictly cosmetic surgery. What you eliminated is plastic surgery in case you're in an accident. Unless your emergency fund is huge, you're not going to be able to cover that! That is just one example.
LOL, I'd like to know of an insurance company that pays for cosmetic surgery cause I would SO be in on that!
