dear OP per profile, you look pretty young. probably not old enough to have seen 40 years of change.
last 40 years, we "domesticated" men
women, on the other hand, were encouraged to be "assertive" aka aggressive.
and that my friend is why those not domesticated, AA and mexican, are starting to look mighty good.
Huckleberry....Op here, sorry I haven't been on for a while. To answer your question, I'm going to be 46 years old in 4 weeks.
per op
i know you have already considered this but there is such a thing as collective conscious, i mean 42 milllion divorces later (1975) 70% filed by women, and a whole lota EEOC body slamming. i mean it is going to have an effect on behavior no?
Yes it has...unfortunately.
I HAVE to believe there are a few good men out there yet.
"Why" are we supposed to pursue you? What do you have to offer besides your looks? There's more to a person than the way you look, you know.
TKramar....goodness sakes man! Did you ever stop to think that a woman might have her heart, her goodness, and her life to share with you? Your talking about looks!?!?!
Hmm...if you have a problem with that, take it up with feminists, because men have nothing to do with it!
I take a guy's number because Im very cautious about who I allow into my space. I call him, block my number and after I feel comfortable, I let him have my number.
Guys still pursue, not always who I want to, but they do...

Oh, I know. Personality--once I discover it by her being open and free enough to sit down and talk with me--is much more important. But if a woman is going to wait for you to approach her, she doesn't seem very warm and friendly.
There was a woman here that was very "traditional", shall we say, in terms of dating. Not only did she want the guy to approach her, she expected him to take her out to a nice restaurant and pay for her meal. She was unhappy because all of their dates have been...well, cheap. Playing pool, a meal at his home with other friends, and the invitation she was questioning was a movie at his place. What's wrong with that? What's wrong with being comfortable and at ease instead of stuffy and formal?
My last date, we sat at her house and just talked for 12 hours. It was great!

we are not running out of good men, we ar running out of stupid foolish men that give away their power. btw i scrubbed toilets at night for 3 1/2 years to pay for my divorce (plus worked an ugly day job). im ready to move on how bout you?
Alot of women just aren't worth pursuing anymore. They'll drop you like a bad habit, take your money and give it to some other man and put on another fresh capital "B" hat for the next guy. Chilvalry is BS today. I've met more women who live to open their own doors, shun any kind of help or assistance from a man, and are first to blame that same man for not helping them when their independent projects or task go horribly wrong. They're also the first to insist that the man pay for the bill in any situation, and take half of everything he's brought into the marriage that never belonged to them in the fist place upon divorce. Seen it all first hand.
