Please keep me informed as to when you receive it.

So IDK if/when we will ever receive our money. I keep thinking kind of a joke PEUC stands for Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation as technically we've been waiting since early April for this "emergency" money.
I think I have good news for those in Scenario A. Today my claim status showed FILED, Date of claim 3/15/2020, Weekly benefit showed correct $$$, Remaining balance showed 11 weeks of $$$$, Next pay week 6/13/20. My benefits ended in June 2019 and benefit year ended Nov 30, 2019. I was able to claim for 5 weeks starting with week ending 6/13/2020.

What I'm not sure on is my extension date start (it is exactly 1 year after my benefits ended. coincident?) and why it only showed 11 weeks of benefits instead of 13 weeks. Tried calling today could not get through will try again tomorrow for an explanation. Will update you on what they say.

FYI you asked about PIN reset. When your claim status shows filed with $$$ there is an option to update your PIN.

Great news!

About the 11 weeks, when I first got PEUC in CA, I only had 2 weeks. Then the next day or so it updated to the other 11. Seems like they do a test run first to make sure the certifying process works before adding all weeks. Not sure if NJ does something similar.

Great news for you. Very odd as to it's only 11 weeks showed in account balance. Yea good luck calling. you need to act like you're filing a new claim and put in your info. all the other options don't give you an agent (specialist) only one of the pencil pushers. Still waiting swinging in the wind. Even more frustrating is I know it's a 5 minute fix to go in and remove disability code from DDU claim last Aug - November. I faxed it Dec 2019. I even refaxed it last week to DDU with a cover letter saying basically I need the code turned off to get PEUC extension. Nothing but nothing.

i might try DDU tomorrow and see if i can get through and see if some person by the grace of god will just remove the code. Why i have to contact local UI and have them send an internal form to DDU authorizing DDU to release claim info back to UI is beyond me. Normally you send the form back to DDU after disability stating you've recovered from disability. therefore A&B. It incites anger every time I think of it.

Yes please do keep us posted with your progress. Happy you made it through the gate.

So state unemployment benefits were extended an additional 20 weeks on July 1st. It's supposed to be automatic but no one's really clear on it as people's benefits have run out and they've not been notified of any extension. I hope it's just a slow process because I could really use the extension. No sign of getting hired again.

Anyone know any more details? The NJDOL's info is kind of vague and inaccurate.

Well the gate I made it through lead to a new set of problems!!! I received a call today from DUI (specialist) it was actually for someone else that supposedly listed my number as theirs. I told the lady my hopes went up when I saw DUI calling since I had issues as well. She was kind enough to listen to my ordeal. I told her a DUI person I spoke with on 6/22 told me I had to open a new claim even though I had not worked in over 1.5 years and was in Scenario A group. She said this was wrong and has no idea how someone was able to open a claim for me without income. It looks like they took the work income from someone else and applied it to my account. She said the claim I saw online was false information and is no good. She said she would work on my problem and call me back tomorrow.

You can't make this stuff up. It would be funny if it wasn't such a mess. So back to the wait and see what happens game for me.

omg you have got to be kidding me. Well that answers the question as to why you got the phone call then on your #. someone probably inadvertently typo-ed and keyed the info in under your SS# is my guess which attached it to your claim. I guess that's why no notification ever on the PEUC ??? if it saw you had income and could establish a new claim (even though false info as it was someone else's wages). That's kind of scary tbh. makes you wonder what else they're screwing up with people's personal information and wage records.

keep us posted. Did you get a name of the person you talked to? A shame they can't give out a number or at least an email that you can use to contact the person back in case they never call again. unbelievable.

Unbelievable!! That's so crazy. That must have been a shock on the phone. No wonder people keep talking about class action lawsuits. Situations like that seem cruel at this point.

Is there ANYONE in Scenario A who has received PEUC yet?

Crossing fingers, toes, (and eyeballs at this point) for all of you to finally receive the "emergency" money.

Most people Scenario A who I've seen who've gotten the PEUC were ones with recently exhausted benefits with unexpired benefit years and they just had it tacked on relatively easily and some that had both benefits and benefit years exhaust recently like in May and June. I'm telling you NJ UI is a bumbling mess right now.

Sounds like it. So there's potentially tens (hundreds?) of thousands of claims still waiting. I don't know what the numbers are but it's ridiculous.

That's frightening to think that accounts could be so easily crisscrossed like that. I mean, really?! How bizarre that it would happen.

i'm on a group page where it's one post after another about claims pending since March and April. call after call to UI and no resolution. Now granted I think a lot of them don't understand the process and are screaming because they don't understand why they're denied or how long the normal process takes. But 4 months of no denial letter and claims still say pending??? come on that's pretty inexcusable. Endless posts.

NJ doesn't have enough agents/specialists to handle the claim "reviews" Most of these workers hired or those working remotely only have access to the claims but can't actually do anything with them to correct it except to say specialist will call you back.. fast forward weeks and months later and no call back and if you call over and over it was noted that you get dumped further back into the queue which is crazy. So you don't know whether to sit and wait and assume something will be coming or bombard the phone lines day after day and disconnect unless you get an actual specialist. Look at my case that's what I did sitting and waiting (hey cause that's what they said to do) only to find out 9 weeks later what the issue is (to which still no movement on it). Catch 22. darned if you do darned if you don't.
