Anyhow I'm almost out of albuterol (chronic bronchitis) I need to get a refill but I can't help but wonder if the clinic is going to want me to get tested when I do.

My sister told me she had to get some tests done and she specifically asked for a lab that was not testing for corona virus. I thought every lab was testing but I guess that isn't so. If you have my chart you could ask on that. Just an idea.

Yeah I was afraid of that.

And yeah, the reopening of businesses is definitely going to cause a spike in cases. Too many people bored of being home, too many people not taking it seriously, many people still not wearing masks and some still think it's a hoax.

Read a post by someone who went to MD dinner at the Domain yesterday and noted that about 80% of the people (younger adults) were not wearing masks. The restaurant was 50% full, with all the waitstaff wearing masks.

They went by the jampacked Pennybacker area and did not see a mask.

So we will see what happens in another month as a result of their selfish stupidity.

I saw tons of people out and about on Saturday and most with no masks. I don't get it. It just seems like a no brainer. I have no problem wearing a mask and will continue to do so for some time. I'm also trying to avoid places where the majority of people aren't wearing them and it's getting harder.

...cases are going to explode.. ..I'm beginning to have second thoughts of this reopening given noone is taking any self-responsibility...but what can you do at this point...

I personally am still avoiding majorly populated hotspots such as Domain and any other place where large crowds congregate. BJ's over on Whitestone had a full parking lot and it looked as though people were dining inside. I think its still a bit too soon for everyone to en-mass congregate but that seems to be the path everyone is mindlessly taking.

On a side note, I can't help but wonder how this pandemic and the after effects of it will affect mix-use developments such as the one going up in Round Rock and also Downtown Leander...

how would you wear a mask while you are eating?

Masks outdoors are likely to add little to no benefit.

masks are going to be most useful indoors, but arent really feasible if you are eating

1) movie theater
2) any retail store
3) while you are working
4) at the gym, salon, etc.

A friend posted this on Facebook today. I thought it was a good explanation of the risks associated with being out in public presented in a factual way.

I had to go to Home Depot last week. Tons of people not wearing masks and even more with masks below their nose or on their chin, not even covering their mouth.

There is a Dallas-based restaurant chain that is refusing to let their employees wear masks. Their options are DON'T wear a mask or don't work. Note that if they refuse to work, they will lose any chance for unemployment because it's considered voluntary. Unbelievable.

Wow..big difference between you guys in Texas and where I am now in SC.
The majority here wear masks when inside somewhere..supermarket, HD, etc.
I feel pretty safe going out because it seems others are being careful too. Even at the beach people are keeping their distance.

I'm now in North Myrtle Beach with pop of 16K and we have 5 cases.
My former rural Texas town of 5K has 20 cases. I called my girlfriend in Texas and she told me that no one out there was wearing a mask because they didn't think it would hit their town. Well surprise, surprise. Seems to have originated from the DQ out there and now that is shut down. One person has died and they were under 50 years old.

It is interesting how that varies across town. The last three times I have been to HEB, I did not see a single person NOT wearing a mask - employee or customer. A few were outside on break w/o masks, but that was it. I must have seen hundreds of people all together, so a 99%+ mask-wearing rate. I also did not see a single child that I can recall, but I wasn't actively paying attention until this last trip.

At Home Depot, there were lots of families and lots of the masks pulled down to their chin (mostly pre-teen or teen kids).
