How is that possible that they are not gay?
Having a homoerotic fantasy does not make you gay, and it often does not make you bi either. I don't feel this forum is appropriate for me to go into a lengthy discussion about sexual fantasies and fetishes.

i believe everyone has gay thoughts
No, everyone doesn't "start off the same".

Sexual hormones and the brain: an essential alliance for sexual identity and sexual orientation (2010)
Endocr Dev. 2010;17:22-35. Epub 2009 Nov 24. Garcia-Falgueras A, Swaab DF.

The fetal brain develops during the intrauterine period in the male direction through a direct action of testosterone on the developing nerve cells, or in the female direction through the absence of this hormone surge. In this way, our gender identity (the conviction of belonging to the male or female gender) and sexual orientation are programmed or organized into our brain structures when we are still in the womb.

There is no indication that social environment after birth has an effect on gender identity or sexual orientation.

If people are born straight, then how can some straight people have homosexual thoughts?
(maybe they are bisexual i guess)

This does not tell me the differences between a bisexual and gay person either.

A bisexual has both straight and homosexual tendencies. That's the reason for the "bi" designation.

Some heterosexuals may just be curious, or their mind figuring things out. Kinsey and Freud also believed 80% of humans are technically bisexual, although most lean to the heterosexual side.

Gay = attracted exclusively or primarily to the same-sex.
Bisexual = attracted to both men and women in varying degree (it's not necessarily 50/50 attraction to both genders).

No. People are born in sin.

How can somebody become gay?
By sowing to the works of the flesh with the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life where worshipping the creature more than the Creator, God will permit that person to turn from the opposite sex into burning after the same sex, and even both sexes.

It's called having a reprobate mind due to degradation brought about on the body by lust feeding the hormones into the body, having eyes full of adultery.

Only Jesus can save sinners from such a state, and He has. He is able to keep them too from those sins by helping them to cast down wicked imagination and setting their minds on good things.

Being gay isn't a sin, and yes science backs up the fact that orientation is biological.

The title of the thread: Does having gay thoughts mean you are gay?

No. Not any more than having murderous thoughts mean you are a murderer. Just because you have a sinful thought that had come into your head, that it means this is who or what you are.

Same thing with feelings. A guy can be so angry enough to kill, but that doesn't mean he should do it because he is angry enough to kill.

Some sinners are impulsive and are given to impulses and more than likely are in jail or in a nuthouse.

So the rationalization today of whatever you think or feel is who or what you are is bogus. No one acts on every thought or feeling and the danger is playing with it or obsessing about it will only make it dominate your thinking process and heart that you may give in to it.

Fortunately, Jesus Christ is available for all those that call on Him to not only save them from their sins, but to help them cast down the wicked imagination and place their minds on good things.
