I believe that all of my posts on this forum are God-breathed, good and profitable for teaching, for convincing, for correction of error, and for instruction in right doing. I've been looking through them and some are real gems! What say I gather up these hundreds of posts and collate them into a book called, say, "The New Improved Testament of Jesus Christ"? Yeah, that sounds pretty good. Then I'll publish this book and make sure it's widely circulated through a mass advertising campaign.
All I require - listen up - is that one person (preferably someone with a name like Paul or Timothy) testify within the pages of the book that the contents (my posts) are inspired by God. And THAT will be the only evidence I need to make it so. People automatically believe these things when they see it in print and when they hear it stated enough times. I'm not implying that people are easily duped and gullible, but . . .
Anyway, I'll gather many staunch followers over the years. I might even have a Church (maybe hundreds of them) named after me! Any takers? I'll share the glory with you . . .
Are you offering anything besides glory to the first member of the Church of Romulus?
(A little cash incentive would go a long way)
The First Church of Romulus has a good ring to it. I like that. You'll need to change your name, however. It doesn't sound 'divine' enough. How about it?

When Peter (who walked with Jesus) confirms your words as gospel (as he did for Paul), then I'll trust you as being a prophet of God.
How do you as a Bible believer determine that a particular verse was inspired by God?
How do you know which books were intended (by God) to be included in the Bible? How do you confirm that they were not altered from their original writing?
They are included in the 66 books, they're inspired. Every word of every verse.
How can anyone with an ounce of sense or reason accept that God inspired the dashing of babies heads against rocks and stoning folk for picking up a few sticks on the day of rest?. Because the fundamentalist believes the bible is for correcting everyone but himself, he takes such verses literally and fails to realize that such verses are addressing what to do with all the thoughts and ways that are born within them that are not of God.
I absolutely believe in stoning people for picking up sticks on the Sabbath day.
That's why in this, the 7th day from Adam (Sabbath), I regularly throw broke open stones (open understanding of the scriptures that the life/water of the Spirit can come through to put to death their flesh), when I see someone adding to their carnal nature (picking up sticks/carnal wooden nature/med as trees/dead wood). Peace

They can't, pcamps. Ergo, those who DO cannot possibly have an ounce of sense or reason = unreasoning credulity.
