Default Excuse Me?

Carthage,Cincinnati? Where I live? HAHAHA! That is Hilarious! This isn't a high class uppity little village or anything, but scary and ghetto? OH PLEASE! There's a bunch of little families here with their kiddies playing out in the yards until bedtime. A whole bunch of retired elderly couples taking evening walks and sitting on their front porches being a little nosy (blockwatch) :-) I am a white, female, who jogs and bikes in the Evening among the places of Hartwell,Carthage,Elmwood Place, Saint Bernard,Northside,Winton Place........ I am still alive and well. No bullet wounds and noone has ever tried to jump me. Most of the people who live in Hartwell and other small areas within Cincinnati know eachother and watch out for eachother. It's nice like that. No place is perfect, there are going to be people everywhere in every city who break the law and just are bad seeds...but give me break.Stop with the dramatics.

Default I lived on Mount Eden in the 70's

Anyone know if Mt. Eden is still a cool place? I lived there for 7 mos. in my hippie days and just loved it. All the people were friendly. I believe I worked a little while in a near place that began with the city started with an N...my sister, by best friend and myself would take 2 buses. On the 2nd bus we would often fall asleep and end up at the Cincinnati Zoo. Karma, spent the day at the zoo and called work and gave them GOOFY excuses. ie: delivered neighbors twins - they came fast and she couldn't get to the hospital in time - we are so tired, we'll see you tomorrow. That was a long time ago - I am now a young senior citizen - got my AARP card and everything. I have great friends in Otway, Ohio that I have known since high school in Pinellas County, Fl. She paints GOURDS - cuts them and makes them into lots of things. Look at her web site outofthe gourdinary.net. I am going to see her the end of May and help her with gourds - LOTS OF FUN!!!!! K

Default 2006 to 2008

Hi,
If you are still looking at this site, I agree with you completely. All nine of your requests are genuine. If there are lots of people in your area that don't know about this site (I just found it today) OR don't have a computer OR don't want to learn or get a computer - perhaps you could put this on paper, hire a plane to drop it from the air to the effected area - I mean WHO wouldn't agree. I am living in the Ocala Forest area in Florida but 7 mos of my life in the 1970's were spent on Mount Eden OR??? Mount Adam's ...it has a monistary and a nunnery on it and some cool restaurants, shops - don't know if it still does. Have you been there? to make a long story short, I remember the icey sidewalks and a lot of the things you mentioned. I had a GREAT time though.
Nice chatting with you. K

HA HA! See I told you so...try to lump Hartwell & Carthage into the "unsafe neighborhood list" and residents of those neighborhoods will set the facts straight! Great job Cincinnatian setting the record straight for Carthage!

I am from the Louisville, Kentucky area and I am going to be driving from the Florence, KY area to Mason, OH for work and so far from the one time that I drove it, it could have been worse, traffic wasn't to bad have been in worse, it took me about 40-45 minutes to get there which is bad for morning rush hour. As for drivers in the Cincy area compared to Louisville, drivers in Louisville are way worse, less considerate and will cut you off in a minute, weave in and out of traffic to get a second ahead. As for speeding, unless you are going across country like from east to west coast then speeding with eventually make you up some time, but driving anything under 1 hour and speeding will only save you a couple of seconds to a minute at most. Okay off my soap-box now.

Default Top Six Things...To Hate about Cincinnati

The number of public complainers on city-data.

Sweating in the summer.

The likelihood that compared to Denver you will gain weight from sitting on the porch to avoid sweating.

The fact they don't do a better job of marketing their chili-sizes all over the rest of the country.

I don't know anyone to visit anymore.

I can't think of anything else.
