You're really going to debate that San Francisco is not faster-paced than DC and Boston? The only one that's remotely debatable is Philly. NYC is the only city in the northeast that outright outclasses San Francisco in this regard.

Well guess what,they say numbers don't lie, but the people posting numbers could be incorrect. Obviously if anyone been to Trenton, they would know personally that the majority of sports fans are Philadelphia fans. Why? Because that's how it is.

The laughable part is that the numbers don't make Philly look bad, east coast posters just refuse to believe that there's a west coast area that's more economically important than theirs. I say "east coast posters" because a lot of the people on this thread who talk up Philly aren't even from it or even live there. If it was Boston that was more economically important than Philly, none of these posters would care. In the grand scheme of things, Philly is one of the top 10 most economically important areas in the country... apparently that's not good enough for the east coast posters. A west coast city being equally or more important is an affront to their sensitivities.

I don't think it's arguable that at this point, and in recent history, the Bay Area has been/is more influential regardless of whether or not Mercer county is included in Philly's metro. The vast grasp of the traditional industries that the Bay Area hosts along with its more recent silicon valley enterprises will only spread in the coming decade as they move into more far flung fields. Companies like Tesla, though Tesla is in a far more visible industry compared to many others, are where the Bay Area are now rushing into.

Philly may not be as economically important as San Francisco, but it damn sure is twice the city of it. I highly respect others opinions and disagree with the east coast superiority actions. But I am extremely upset that bay area posters (not all) always tries to put Philly down.
Of course SF is an excellent city but Philly attracts more love than SF due to Philly being Philly. The culture, nightlife, sports, excitement, world class downtown, history, and most importantly the people. Philadelphia has bigger media attention, better schools, better location and better vibrancy. The average American knows what Philly can offer due to its location.
You don't get much of a smile on the face when you mention SF around the country like you get for Philly, Miami, Chicago, and newyork.
It truly is. I've never heard SF described as fast pace outside this board in comparison to other cities, and it certainly didn't feel that way. It was less fast pace than Chicago, and I think the east coast cities in question are faster paced than Chicago also so... just not sure why, but of course it is only CA posters saying this. Maybe compared to San Diego or Sacramento, and of course Ft Worth where you are, not your major east coast cities though. That's ludicrous. One of the prime benefits of SF if you want such is the more easy pace of life and casualness yet still in an urban environment compared to the East Coast, not the other way around. The opinions on this board never cease to surprise me though.
