Awesome job on the 27 Days Cyn.... you are almost one month smoke free!
So, the chatterbox found my Taco Dinner Kit......
So, I am making CHICKEN Taco's on her request..... AND I am THINKING..... If I get her and Diva to help me cook the chicken and stuff the taco shells they MIGHT just eat dinner without a problem.... maybe...... I am hoping..... LOL....... a mother can always hope right?
My brothers and I used to really enjoy helping mom make homemade pizza. Looking back, I wonder how much help we were
but it was sure a lovely family time that all looked forward to.
Gooooooood morning all!!!
Sorry to hear about the frozen north, we definately can sympathize! It seems we've gotten your weather and you got ours, we've not been below 38 or so for the last couple of weeks and it almost hit 50 here a few days ago. Highland, congrats on the shiny thing!
Well I didn't get the chops cooked last night, ended up eating cereal. I got a call from my DW while I was on the way home from the gym to cook dinner that the fax/printer in the pharmacy (where she works) was jammed so I had to stop in and fix it before the pharmacist got his hands on it. Good guy with drugs but really needs to stay away from technology! PUT DOWN THE BUTTER KNIFE AND STEP AWAY FROM THE PRINTER!
My kid chef decided he wants stir fry so I think his task today will be how to work the pork chops into a good stir fry, I've got some ideas but I'm not telling him if I can help it. Since he's decided to go in the Navy and has to lose a bit of weight he's now on a veggie kick (finally) and actually went out and bought some lean cuisine meals last night... Hmmm, not my favorite and I don't know if they REALLY are as "lean" as they say they are but if he can stick with just that portion of food it should help.
Have a good day all, bundle up in layers and don't forget to lay some moistureizer on ANY exposed skin, especially ears, nose and hands. It'll protect them from wind/freeze burn and you won't get what I've had to deal with which is cracking skin, especially the knuckles. Sometimes it takes a smack in the head for me to get it!
Morning y'all! My citrus trees seem to be ok this morning, they havent dropped any leaves, but the damaging weather will be here tonight and tomorrow night, guess DH and I will be on patrol tonight, its not like we are not up til 4 AM anyway.....funny how my schedule morphed to his as soon as I lost my job.
Going to lunch with a dear friend who is very ill, she wants to have some fun while she still has some time left, and I always aim to please, will think about dinner later.

Sympathies to all those living in the deep freeze...I won't even brag, er, tell you what our temps have been.
Working tons of overtime so dinners have been taken out of the freezer (spaghetti, chili, etc.) Tonight is green chile stew with fresh tortillas and rice.
Last night's planned chorizo and eggs got moved to tonight. We ended up with leftovers last night.
I have a little trouble with follow-through.
Corn tortillas for me, flour for DH.
