Oxtail stew in my slow cooker that will hopefully be enough for tonight and tomorrow, corn pudding, crusty Italian loaf, a bottle of burgundy and lemon meringue pie for dessert.

I haven't made it in a while even though my husband loves it too because oxtails are so ridiculously expensive now.

"Weird Supper Night" - Cleaning fridge out to make room for Thanksgiving advance pre & post needs. So, cooked: a head of cabbage ( a little salt, pepper & bacon for season
6 carrots (I slice & stew them in Orange juice & a little butter)
8 turnips (hubby wanted seasoned with a little salt, pepper & bacon)
left-over stuffed peppers (rice, ground beef, tomato)

OMG! I haven't had turnips since my parents were alive and made them from scratch for Thanksgiving. I remember how hard it was to cut those things! But, it brings back happy memories. Happy Thanksgiving everybody!!!
