At this moment I have a large pot of pinto beans on the stove cooking with a chopped onion, chopped ham and a meaty ham bone. I plan to serve that with hot buttered yellow cornbread and iced tea.
Ginormous Greek garden salad, probably one of the last using my homegrown lettuces... they're getting ready to bolt and turning bitter (sorta like my last fella before he left).
Hubby is making barbecued oxtails which we'll have over egg noodles and a zucchini casserole - banana cupcakes for dessert.
bbq oxtail is this a regional thing?
