tonight we are having fish and chips with cold slaw. Nothing fancy, last weekend of football before the collge bowl season starts so will spend the afternoon watching the games. I only can think of one game to be watching or only one period; the Army/Navy game.
Pot roast with lots of vegetables, happily swimming with a bottle of Guiness Stout, mashed potatoes, salad, mini plumb pies with almond crumbs.
The last of ready to eat meals in the freezer.
Well tonight I am going Christmas shopping then I am going to stop by a Christmas party old friends are throwing. They always have a buffet. My husband who will be home with the kids, can figure out what he wants to feed them, it is my night off!
Tonight we 2 will watch a movie from home and I am making us finger food. From Costco pickled herring in white wine sauce with toasted sour dough bread. Also I will put some old Canadian cheddar cheese and Gouda cheese out with green grapes ,green olives and clementine slices. As a sweet treat an assortment of Christmas cookies from my 2 week baking session and Glühwein (Mulled wine) from a 1.5 liter Ontario red wine bottle. After that we should feel relaxed,happy and toasty
Last night I was craving a cheeseburger deluxe from our local diner so we each had one except hubby had bacon on his. We split an order of beer batter onion rings. Tonight is a tossed salad and homemade split pea soup.
A low fat probiotic peach yogurt, a large roll with healthy-style margarine & provolone cheese and a large mug of chamomile tea with a teaspoon of sugar.
Herbed Pork Roast with oven browned potatoes, carrots and sweet onions.....gravy on the side and if my guy wants it, I have left over rice from last night that could be microwaved......make that Will be microwaved....I know him.
