Getting ready to celebrate with family and friends Diwali on November 7 leading up to the weekend.So lots of delicious variety of East Indian food and sweets we bring to each others homes.
I am making at the moment a big pot of green lentil soup/moong daal in my slow cooker.Served with jawaan/carom seeds chapatis and a bit of fresh made ghee,lime pickles and a plate with red and Vidalia onion slices,tomato and cucumber slices.To drink lassi.For dessert warm kheer/rice pudding with green cardamon seeds,rosewater and a few roasted pecans for garnish and a cup of masala chai.
