NY, I'd stay away from the South. That sort of thing is frowned upon. Me, I dont care at all.

San Francisco is known as a mecca for gays. Huge gay pride parade there every summer-- August I think?

The Palm Springs area has a huge gay population. Same-sex hand holding, affection, is a common sight here. No one seems to be bothered with it. I see a lot of gay couples with babies and children. It seems like a good place to settle down and raise a family as a gay couple.

Anybody in the know will agree that the nicest place in the US for gays to live is Provincetown, MA. There is a majority population and it's a beautiful and cultured city with lots to do. It's located at the tip of Cape Cod.

Try the small towns in the South. They are open to that sort of thing. Especially the ones with fewer than say 6,000 people that are far away from any big town. You should fit right in.
