Schools are not in the business of teaching you WHAT to think or HOW to think??
If you only look at how the student's knowledge is tested you would come to the conclusion that schools only exist to tell their students what to think.
Why else use multiple choice to test their student's knowledge?
It seems to me that teachers aren't interested in the opinion of their student; teachers are only interested in the right answer and not in how their students reached their conclusion.

They teach FACTS.. about chemistry, history..etc. They don't, in any way.. tell you HOW to think or WHAT to think.. just the facts...
So what you’re saying is that schools teach their students to always trust the authorities?
Funny, I’ve learned more by not trusting the authorities.
I guess this is why I always fact check.

Knowledge is Power!
Be that as it may, the only power I need is the power over myself.
I have no need to have power (read: control) over others.
I only needed a school to teach me how to read & write and basic math. I don't need a school to teach me what to think because I'm perfectly capable to figure out myself how to think.
You honestly believe you could be a doctor or lawyer without going to school?
Why?
Because of what is said or because of who said it?

I honestly believe that I'm a better shrink than most shrinks, because nobody knows me better than I do.
You would not see me in court, therefore I'm already a better lawyer.
