How exactly do "haoles" think diffently? Is their brain wired differently?

Culture difference Pikake in thinking, beliefs Thats what makes westerners different from traditional asian and native, polynesian cultures, thinking, attitudes, beliefs, customs, practices.
I guess HBH added the "I just don't think like one" after I responded to his post where he declared that he was part haole, as if that gave him a license to bash.
Ah well. No sense banging my head against a wall here. Some are just comfortable in their bigoted shoes and not open to venturing outside their narrow little comfort zone. Gives them at least a little sense of superiority, I suppose.

Turn the "joke" around another way and see if it sounds as funny. Replace "haole" with another race/ethnic group and see if they (or yes, you, HBH) laugh.
All the emoticons on the planet can't make racial or ethnic "jokes" (aka "slurs") funny.

Many local comedians, such as Frank De Lima, Augie T, and Andy Bumatai make a living by telling "ethnic" jokes. For the most part, "political correctness" made its way here on "Hawaiian time."
Breaking news: Hawaii is a western culture. Not Asian (I lived in Asia) nor Polynesian (been there).
Has aspects of western culture, its mostly asian, Hawai'ian. And you can say no 100 times and it doesnt change that fact. You don't get out much do you?

And thats partly what makes locals local. Unlike western culture of political correctness. We are brutal with eachother with the ethnic jokes because we know its really not racism but a hazeing of bonding.
