Totally. The term seems to be passing into disuse, to some degree. Nobody uses the term "mongoloid" anymore as an indicator of race, hardly. They say "Asian" or "asiatic". Hopefully the term "Caucasian" will eventually be forgotten, as well.

I sometimes feel some whites think they "own" this country and we, people of color, are all guests that they "tolerate" in "their" country. I am here to tell *those* white people that they own nothing... no more than anyone else. We people of color have equally contributed to make this country what it is and it belongs to us just as much as whites. It's high time this colonial mentality and the people who support it are not tolerated anymore.

The term Caucasian would still be proper when referring to the peoples of the Caucasus, wouldn't it?

As an aside, I'm white, live in california, and do just fine - and I see/know other whites going about their business doing just fine, as well. Further I do believe that whites will be going about their business doing fine in california for as long as the United States exist, which should be for some time yet
