Didn't get this posted before 12:00, so I'm referring to yesterday. I was waiting on the bread to finish warming up for dinner and happened to look out my kitchen window. There stood three beautiful deer! This is quite a sight in suburbia. Just wish I could have grabbed the camera in time.
I have been searching for a new job since getting sacked 3 YEARS ago!
After countless cover letters, interviews and job talks, living off savings, unemployment and the kindness of friends, I had just about decided to give it up, perhaps go back to school, start over.
Today somebody finally made me a job offer.
A decent offer. In my field of specialty.
I was the committee's unanimous choice.
Wow.
Wow, again! Somebody pinch me!
Anyone out there suffering from Recession Blues, I wish you well. Hang in there. Keep the faith!

I went to breakfast and met a totally nice guy. No funny business- just two people who were thinking the same thing at the same time and said something. The guy was very interesting and he gave me some sound advice, he left before my son and I and when we got ready to pay our bill this guy had already taken care of it. It is so nice to great human beings.
The weather forecast for today originally was for a high of 35 with a rain/snow mix. We had our open house scheduled and advertised so we just hoped for the best. It turned out to be a beautiful, sunny, spring, 55 degrees and we had 4 couples show up to look at the house. 3 of them said as they were leaving that they were going to go and talk things through. 1 of the couples has already been here 2 times to look at the place and they came back today. We are thinking good thoughts about it.
