No due process is required to get on the watch list, unlike the examples you cited. That's why it's different.

The only recourse would be a Constitutional Amendment. Well that being said it would be better to have laws on the books that can work, then to allow a Amendment.

Its been fun, have to get ready to go to church.

Merry Christmas all

I'd like my Freedom & Liberty back. (Unlimited choices and my ability to make my own choice)
To open a catalog, find the .38 .45 .243. 30/30 30.06 and order it. Give them my name address telephone number and the money. Wait 3 days and have my gun. No questions asked. It is up to you to send in the serial number for the warranty.

I can take a million unlimited choices, narrowing it down to only 2 and say you still have a choice.
Was your Freedom & Liberty taken away? You still had a choice............

THAT ^^^ was the plan all along. Freedoms aren't taken overnight, they are removed piece by piece while nobody pays attention.

IN a progressive world, there is no need for due process and habeas corpus. They know what's best and they are never wrong.

Laws will be written, not to make sense but, to enforce what they deem should be illegal. We witness their smug attitude and must live by their sweeping need for control. Like, when a progressive/totalitarian judge wipes out a proposition which he doesn't agree with, even though millions voted to pass it.

Define "terrorist country". I've been in several Middle Eastern countries for business the last few years. Does that mean I should be excluded from gun purchases. Who gets to decide what "mental illness" is, that has been a tool for government abuse many times in the past. What other constitutional rights should we restrict for recent immigrants, maybe freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, freedom of religion; all of those things seem to be associated with terrorism. Maybe we should prevent them from voting as well, even if they become citizens.

Of course it is easier said than done. Obviously. Sorry, the answer is easy?

If so you haven't hit upon it yet.

We are at historic low homicide numbers and on track for near historic low mass shootings this year. Leftist fantasies aside, we've had 4 incidents this year which meet the criteria for mass shootings.

This is all while gun sales are at near record highs. Exactly what did you want to do?

Lightbulb Common Sense Gun laws.

I like that idea.

Haven't seen any legislation that would qualify, though.

If the issue trying to be resolved, is to eliminate the bulk of firearm deaths, then the answer is not piling restrictive gun law on top of gun law. there is a point of diminishing return.

the answer needs to include gun laws, but in no way is restrictive firearm legislation the complete answer liberals and legislators make it out to be.

Unfortunately the liberal response is myopic. It ignores perspective in an effort to achieve a theoretical politcal agenda item, no guns no deaths. The down side is the liberals are willing to ignore the daily death toll to reach that distant future goal.

9 year old children be dammed, full speed ahead, piloted by a blind driver.

Who would look at a complex problem and focus on one aspect, to the exclusion of the other variables???????????????????? someone with a political agenda, that's who!
