Not one mention of Christians.

"The Citizens of the United States of America have a right to applaud themselves for having given to mankind examples of an enlarged and liberal policy: a policy worthy of imitation. All possess alike liberty of conscience and immunities of citizenship It is now no more that toleration is spoken of, as if it was by the indulgence of one class of people, that another enjoyed the exercise of their inherent natural rights. For happily the Government of the United States, which gives to bigotry no sanction, to persecution no assistance requires only that they who live under its protection should demean themselves as good citizens, in giving it on all occasions their effectual support.

May the Children of the Stock of Abraham, who dwell in this land, continue to merit and enjoy the good will of the other Inhabitants; while every one shall sit in safety under his own vine and figtree, and there shall be none to make him afraid. May the father of all mercies scatter light and not darkness in our paths, and make us all in our several vocations useful here, and in his own due time and way everlastingly happy."

Surely you know Jefferson and Franklin and many others didn't believe in the divinity of Jesus? That in itself makes them NOT CHRISTIAN.

School us. Can one be a Christian and not believe?

I don't think you get it. What we "should need" and who "we" are is not the point. The people who hear that stuff go from the ignorant to the genius and only one of them is you.

I'm done.

It doesn't need to mention any religion. The people were originally primarily from the British Isles and nearby and were overwhelmingly Christian. Why do you work so hard to revise the history and heritage?

As far as Christian there were so many sects and some of them tried and hung the others (Quakers were hung) that it's a bit crazy to place them under one banner. If the Puritans had their way we'd all be Taliban today. Thank goodness for the liberals and rebels (quakers, jews, deists, secularists and even the religious who supported freedom for others...all other, including females).
Yes, this was the letter quoted in my post, which MT thought was about Columbus. America was surprisingly diverse, both ethnically and religiously, from almost the beginning. This actually was the foundation--not racism and the slave trade.

The evangelicals are staunch supporters of Israel. They need it for their rapture.

Most Protestants I know of are strong supporters of Israel and the Jewish people. They read the bible and relate to the people in it as if it were their own ancestors and relatives. What offends me is I don't think it is reciprocated to say the least.

no, not exactly. They have a right to immigrate to Israel and become a citizen. The Law of Return was put in place in a world where millions and millions of Jews had just been murdered by the Nazi regime. And in many cases, they had tried to escape that fate, but other countries wouldn't let them in. Israel wanted to be a safe haven, a place where Jews would always have a safe place to go if and when another Holocaust or similar type of manifestation of antisemitism happens, Jews won't be left vulnerable with nowhere to go to avoid death. Jews may say "never again" but we know we live in a world where it could happen again.

Democrats are okay with people having other kinds of split loyalties, including and especially loyalty to Mexico and putting their own race before the country as a whole like with many black Democrats who are racially obsessed. They're okay with Mexicans in the US voting in favor of Mexican interests, for example, by supporting NAFTA and voting in favor of illegal aliens for racial reasons because they see themselves as much Mexican as American and consider the illegals to be their people too.

Democrats are also supportive of globalist interests like open borders, redistributing American wealth abroad, trade agreements that benefit other nations over the US and sacrifices American jobs to help other nations, etc. Such as NAFTA, the Trans Pacific Partnership, the Paris Accord, etc.

Some Democrats are also care more about birds and fish than they do about coal miners and natural gas workers........

Yeah. Trump is a certain genius. That's SURE to garner him more Jewish votes.
Hitler was talking about Jews not being loyal to Germany.

Trump was talking about the Jews being loyal to their OWN country the State of Israel and to their own leader Benjamin Netanyahu.....big difference here!

Benjamin Netanyahu, the leader of the Jewish people, is very supportive of Trump and doesn't think he's anti-Semitic. So I would take his opinion over some liberal journalist any day.

Tell us where in the Bible it says that to be Christian, one must believe in the divinity of Jesus?
