I live in a constitutional monarchy (former British colony) and Queen Elizabeth II is my queen too.
I want the royal family to remain European. It is a matter of tradition and I believe that traditions help keep our commonwealth stable. It remains peaceful this way. Watch the monarchy fizzle out after this.
That ship has sailed. Princess Diana had American ancestors. Princess Anne's daughter-in-law is Canadian.
The Commonwealth circles the world and includes people of a wide variety of ethnicities - why should the Royal Family not be more diverse, as long as love leads the way?
Meghan Markle has royal ancestors herself, way back there, according to recent genealogical investigations. Not that it should matter, beyond being a mildly interesting bit of trivia. She's actually something like a 20th cousin numerous times removed to Prince Harry.
Your post sounds more racist than patriotic, to be honest. Sad for you. I plan to enjoy watching the Royal wedding next weekend, (whilst sipping tea and comfortably ensconced in the hide-a-bed in front of the telly, so I won't have to get up at 4:30 a.m.) and wish all good things for the happy couple.
An illegal immigrant marrying an illegal immigrant.
Care to provide the documentation for your charge? Prince Harry was born in the same hospital where little Prince Louis made his appearance a couple of weeks ago, right in the heart of London. How is he an "illegal immigrant"?
Meghan Markle has taken British citizenship and I think will hold dual citizenship in the future - she will be both an American citizen and a British subject.
If you want to make a joke, be sure it's actually funny before posting. Of course, if you just want to troll...go right ahead and see where that gets you.

Harry is never going to be King so it doesn't matter and for someone who looks like Ed Sheeran he's probably done quite well for himself. Plus less chance of Ginger Babies.
Maybe we should start a separate thread on this, but...what's the big deal in Britlandia about gingers? Or is that only in England that it's undesirable? Is this an anti-Irish or -Celtic thing? Help us Yanks understand.

I thought it was a mark of Scottishness, you know--like a stamp of authenticity. My grandfather had flaming rad hair as a child, and his parents were from around Aberdeen. Actually, I've read that that was a Pict stronghold, farther back in time. Fascinating. Also interesting that the Vikings were fascinated by Scotland's and Ireland's red-haired lasses, and took many back to Norway with them. Nobody told them gingers were undesirable, I guess.

Funny you mentioned Aberdeen as Ive never seen so many redheads as I did on a visit some years ago to the city....Winston Churchill, Napoleon Bonaparte, Maureen O'Hara and Thomas Jefferson are among the most famous redheads in history.

Interesting. Thank you for that note. And now, we should let the rest of the gang resume the scheduled topic...
