That's great for Atlanta, but I think the Grammys are kind of a joke now a days. There are a lot of great Atlanta musicians that deserve as much credit as any hip hop artist from the city, they just don't get it.

Aren't Sugarland and the Zac Brown Band from Atlanta? Those are some non-hip hop acts that get recognition

I don't know. I guess so, but I don't listen to country hardly at all. I like a few Texas bands but that's about it. I was referring more to the rock and indie scene, but I know they have a very well established country music scene which is also overshadowed by hip hop.

Anyway, I don't really blame Atlanta or its hip hop scene. It has a lot more to do the current state of the American music then Atlanta specifically. It's not the only city that has loads of talent that don't get the recognition they deserve.

Ice Cream Paint Job isnt a bad song. Its not really a good one either. Its alot better than Stanky Leg, Frankie, Walk wit a Dip, Walk that Walk, and Mr. Hit dat Hoe. Those are awful songs (all from Dallas rappers).

The best it gets from Dallas rappers is Lil Wil, Big Tuck, and Tum Tum. They wont stand out in a sea of LA, NYC, Houston, Atlanta, or Chicago rappers. But on a local level, they seem to be the best here.

Dallas' best clubs and best local scene comes in the form of Techno and Electronic. Dallas has the best scene for that in Texas (without a close second).

hip hop and r&b have always dominated at the Grammys when you are talking about music coming out of Atlanta.

That's why I hate going out now because they play each one of these songs back to back and everyone looks dumb as hell doing those dances (especially stanky leg and Frankyyy lol).

The Stanky Leg looks RIDICULOUS. I saw my younger cousins do that and I thought it looked like something my older uncles would do back in the day.

And there is a song called "Hit Dat Hoe"?!?!?!?!?! Seriously...

We did have a song called "Do The Heisman," that was popular in this region, but it got overshadowed by "Crank Dat Soulja Boy" a few months later.

This is why I don't go to the club anymore, LOL...

I'll never know why or how that song became to be so big lol

That song was actually popular in Texas; I remember it came out during like my Sophomore or Junior year. During that time I remember everyone had pictures on myspace doing the Heisman pose.
