I'd say in general for this area...November 14th, 2017..

50% colored or dull or frozen burnt.
35% bare.
15% Green.

Posted some pics in the photo thread. Pretty crazy.

November 19th and my backyard Maple is still green. Surreal. And we just had the coldest 9 days in decades. That record warm October really affected them.

I need to find some comparison shots from previous years.

Found one from last year...(and it was a bit late last yr too)

November 7, 2016 VS November 17, 2017.

By now it would be thinning out with winds or rain and all the yellow leaves would be falling but it's not even changed yet.

For future reference - there is an annual fall foliage train ride from Putnam that lasts 90 minutes (it travels through CT, MA, and RI). Trains run on weekends in the fall.

Thanks! Been meaning to update here.

From today. Things pretty .... (let me finish) still green everywhere. Lol.

I would bump up the color to 8% now though. About 8% of general area has color. (Obviously none in pic)

My guess is next week it'll really start popping once the weather cools down a little bit. I thought with all the rain we've gotten these last few months we'd be looking strong right now.
