I think he'll do better in the Rust Belt than Hillary did, especially when you account for the likely much increased turnout.
I'd rather not vote for any more Boomers, but if he's the nominee, I'll vote for him.

Man. Some Democrats just can't get over the Gay issue.

As far as Trump is concerned, that's silly. I'd take the bet that he wouldn't. He's employed Gays & Lesbians for a long time, and of course he's been a part of the entertainment business for a long time.

Looks to me as if some sort of decision has been made and if I were one of the other candidates, I'd be giving some serious thought to dropping out right about now.

I was watching a video on ancient Rome the other evening and believe me, the US has way more room to fall.
I don't know, Bernie is popular and Beto is as close to a traditional Democrat as we have seen. I think it will be one of those two honestly. I'm open to whomever. I will vote Democrat just to stick it to Trump (unless he is primaried) and down ticket I'm voting Democrat too because I will not vote for McSally and after the 2018 election where the Republican leadership in the state tried to tell me my mail-in vote doesn't matter.

If Trump used either of those words, he would be done!

It's Republicans who can't get over it. Just look at what religious right leaders are saying about him.

As a gay man living in the South, the thought of a Buttigeig candidacy scares me let alone him being elected. In some parts of this country, it's going to set LGBT acceptance back decades if it happens.

I'm not so sure. I'm sure he'd get thunderous applause from his base.

That's part of the problem with Boomers in this election. If someone like Mayor Pete didn't win the nomination, I'd hope ole Joe (or ole Bernie) would be smart enough to select someone like Mayor Pete as a running mate with the broad understanding that Pete should succeed him in four years.

First homo president? The media will be all over that. I expect to see him win the primary after the media gives him unending support and constantly attacks and lies about his candidates for the next year and a half.

Becky Bond didn't seem like a fit with him or the campaign manager. I don't know the details but it seemed that as a 2016 Sanders staffer she was too progressive or radical for him and the campaign manager. I read an article where it sounded like she wanted to be or was going to be the top staffer. I don't think that happened. I wouldn't give this event anywhere near the weight that it was given by Carlson. He is not a Democrat and not a serious journalist either.

O'Rourke is unlikely to be a top candidate but he is also unlikely to quit this quick.

Maybe it will end up being "Biden-Buttigieg".
