There would be no such slaughter at all. Amnesty is part of the deal. The only ones they will kill are those who don't lay down arms (and anyone captured during conflict who isn't wearing insignia). But this isn't going to happen unless he gets something for it. I doubt NS2 is important to Putin since he has enough money and doesn't give a toss about Russians.

The customer never needs it more than the supplier unless the supplier is the only one with the product.

The word of any Ukrainian official is not worth the air used to utter it let alone the paper it's written on. That's a non starter.

Accept it.

As for the North Crimea canal let the courts settle it. If good sense does not prevail then solve the problem with force.

DKM, sometimes I think you still attend the kindergarten. Like seriously.
They will be ready "to prosecute" ANYONE they will consider "part of the separatism movement."

And the Nazi battalions will be the ones to decide what it entails.

Zelensky is going bezerk.
Sharij already pointed at few of his actions that are indicative of it ( that's regarding Ze's attempts to ban his party and to extradite him from the European Union,) but here is more;
Apparently now Ze government is trying to accuse Rada of the 7th term in "state treason."

The deputies that voted back in 2010 for the extension of the lease of the naval base in Sebastopol, Crimea to the Russian fleet in exchange for a better deal on the price of gas delivered from Russia. ( So-called Kharkov Pact.)

I think there is a good reason why Biden still didn't call Zelensky; he is becoming more and more toxic.

And from what Russians reported in the previous dispatch of 60 minutes, Republicans are having a blast on the Capitol Hill, while pounding Biden ( or rather Blinken) on that NS2.

They demand "tougher actions" towards Russia because of that project, when Biden is in no position to go for it, before the upcoming trip to Europe on "environmental issues."

(Can check on details if necessary.)

Safe Boat of Bremerton Wa/Tacoma contracted with the US government to build patrol boats for Ukraine.

https://www.defensenews.com/congress...s-and-sensors/

https://www.kitsapsun.com/story/news...al/3221776001/

I know this company and a couple of guys that worked there and I almost went to work for them a decade ago. Pay offered was insulting and an engineer I spoke with briefly was obviously on drugs or something place stank of politics. I guess they shut down the facilities in the Port Of Tacoma where they're actually built in a huge shed some years ago. Lack of work.

The one boat I was on was being built for Indonesia back then. 40mm deck gun all automatic. Way too complex for being a war machine in my opinion. Way too complex and fragile.

What do you suggest would be a better option for Ukraine's coast guard to patrol littoral areas and river ports. Since you seem to be so convinced that these boats aren't up to the task... More Shmels? Zhuks? Zhuks were made in Crimea so no... The Koral project was canceled. Orlans too.

Just so there is no confusion among those looking to poop post on Ukraine, the mark 6 patrol boats are not the Ukrainian Navy's new class of ships to engage enemy warships with. They are working with the UK on those (to replace what's left of their soviet inherited junk). A little update on that:

I have no idea why the UK is getting involved into all this; what their interests are.

No idea.

Why can't you believe its for the reasons they have stated?

Denmark, Sweden and Canada are training Ukrainian sailors too.
