Wow, Watching the evening news in the USA and reading most American media news outlets and nothing about the leaked conversation between the Estonian foreign minister and the EU foreign minister about the protesters and policeman were killed by the same snipers and the Yanukovych government was most likely not responsible for these deaths. The new Ukraine government is unwilling to investigate about these revelations. All you hear is crickets chirping over here when trying find any coverage of that important revelation.
On videos you clearly see SBU/police snipers and Maidan activists with rifles. Both are shooting. How could anyone claim that only Maidan activists killed people. "Olga" seems to be a bit biased on that issue.
And by the way, you could also pick up a newspaper at times. This phone call was covered extensively.
Maintaining public order isn't even a task that's up to military, that's what the police force should do. Maintaining order is even less a task a foreign army should be involved in.
This is especially true when "maintaining order" only seems to include disarmig the local military.

Its not even known about here in the USA. I just happen to find out about it because I read news updates from the British Broadcasting Corporation on my phone at work yesterday. It from page news here now the news anchor of Russian Times quit on air because she felt the Russian news agency was whitewashing the news. Mmnnn talking about whitewashing the main incident that forced Yanukovich out of office was the 100 deaths during the Kiev protests is now being attributed towards increasingly towards a third party whose main goal was to create circumstances that would force Yanukovich out of office and bring a new Ukrainian government in office as in the leaked conversation of the US ambassador Victoria Nuland more compliant to the interests of the USA.
Are there any precedents in modern history (last few decades) when a certain territory seceded from one country and then joined another one? I can't think of any to be honest... It's something from the past, from the WW era.
It may become a dangerous precedent which can contribute to even more separatism all over the world.
Putin is going too far. This conflict in any case won't do any good to anyone, including Russia herself.

The phonecall just included some jibberish hearsay about some third party involved in the shootings. The only source named is a woman called "Olga". Who's that anyway?
Wouldn't take it too serious, since there are lots of videos of policemen shooing at people...
