For the 2018 lottery, did ST give you a sheet with the apartment prices and the income ranges? I’m curious how expensive the rents are.

Yeah they did. A one bedroom is 1200-2000. That’s all I remember off the top of my head. I’m pretty sure it’s available online somewhere.

Aloha all!

I have been navigating this chat group ever since I got my email to submit my paperwork. Seems like I may have no hope!

My log # is 56XX. After submitting my paperwork, they had responded back asking what size unit I was interested in, and if I had any pets. I replied back that as a single applicant, I thought I was only qualified for a 1br, but if I could get a 2br as a single, that would be great!

I mentioned I had a small pet. This was all between 6/7-6/14, this week. Hoping to hear back within the next 120 days!

For context, Im on the 2018 list and I was just contacted this April for processing. I submitted all my documents and was told today that everything looks good and I should expect an offer next week. Does this sound right? Is it possible that I am being offered an apartment before people on the 2021 waiting list?
Thats odd. From my understanding the 2018 log#s expired 2020. They only last 2 years according to the email we got when we initially applied. Its possible they extended it but my log number in 2018 was 1xxx compared to 5xxx for 2020. Never called for 2018, only 2020.

That's the 2021 lottery, I believe. That's good for you, since the prices are great.

The reason I asked you about prices is because a friend of mine applied in 2021 and got a pretty good number (3,000 range). When he was contacted, he was given very high prices, like $4,000 for a studio. He decided that was too expensive and didn't send in his documents. I am wondering if a mistake was made in his case, but it's too late now.

I just checked the email I got for processing my application and it has the 2021 lottery figures attached so I’m not sure what’s going on. I didn’t even apply for the 2021 list, only 2018 and when I spoke to someone on the phone they confirmed that I’m part of the 2018 list. I’ll call tomorrow.

You won’t be able to get a 2br as a single applicant. If you look at the breakdown of the prices, 2br starts with households of 2. :/

I thought the 2018 prices were much higher, except for a small number of units in the 80% bracket.

Hello, I just called. The person on the phone looked at my file. Her info was accurate. She told me my specialist name and my longing number after asking me to spell my 1st and last name ( I already knew the name of my specialist and my logging number). She said that I was on the 2 bedroom hold list… that she was not allowed to tell me how far or how close I was, but based on my specialist list she feels I could expect an offer in august.
My number is in the 2XXX.
I asked if the lottery will end in February as they had told me last year when giving me my logging#. She said they have over 260000 applicants and they don’t know how long it will last…
