I was at the dock today. Got some shrimp. Whole Foods picked up oysters, mussels..other store crab cakes. I'm set for dinner tonight night.

Prices were about the same.

Whole Foods had lobster tails on sale and rib eyes. Surf and turf for Christmas maybe?

You could look at MIT's Billion Prices Project, which scrapes prices for everything they can find rather than selecting a basket as the CPI does. It's a good independent check of price levels.

Prices did go up in my location. Don't know the actual numbers, wife does all the shopping. But I do notice things that were a dollar, now they're almost 2.

Not to worried about meat. I harvest deer and hog and do my own processing. And already my wife is fussing because I went out and bought another freezer. But hey, like I told her, both freezers are full minus beef. But we'll be going get some in a few days. Thought about buying a calf and process it. I have some deer that's marinating as we speak, tomorrow I'll be making jerky.

Since I been processing our own meat, our meat bill drastically went down. In the spring, I just might start a garden.

There's ways to beating the rising prices. Maybe it may be a good time for others to follow, if they're able to.

FredMeyer (super kroger) out here in the PNW-
Dungeness Crab, whole, cooked, $9.00/#. A steal and essentially at cost. Crabbing season typically starts in early Dec. Sale in December as crab is brought to port for fresh market. In Jan and beyond, the crab will be pasteurized canned or bought by overseas buyers.

It is 40 cents/2.59 or 15.4%

We buy A2a2 milk.
Suggested retail price $4.50/half gal. Currently $4/half gal and stable.
We did have a source of fresh unpasteurized A2a2, 5 years ago at $15/gal. Does that count as deflation?

Nobody rushes to post on the internet about things that don't go up in price.

I believe it's somewhat along the lines of perception bias.

Meaning we notice when something goes way up (or is on a great sale) and the rest we just mentally gloss over.

Regardless, this is a giant anecdotal thread with a made up number in the thread title so it was never intended to be anything accurate, reasonable or scientific in the first place.
