Even if it good be verified it doesn't mean anything. For starters he adds a condition of looking at it from the moon. Next he draws out the outline of the lamb using some stars and ignoring others (law of discounting certain evidence to make it fit with what I want to see) Then he calls it the heart of the lamb which looks like the stomach to me (law of close enough)

It depends on what brings people here (and speaks to the point of the thread). Should it always be about ‘convincing’ a Christian he or she is ‘wrong’? Isn’t there more to discuss or debate, across the board, than just an individual’s belief in God (or lack thereof)? The topics of religion, atheism, philosophy - are endless; and yet, it seems thread after thread is weighed down heavily by those who feel the need to ‘convince’ aka mock and bash, with the same tireless arguments over and over (show me proof there is a guy upstairs, yada yada).
It’s simply closed-minded to keep going in circles; especially when there is no point to ‘convince’ anyone their personal belief system is wrong because it doesn’t agree with yours. What person will slap their forehead and say, ‘thanks for calling me stupid 20 times, you’re right - there is no God!’ Or, ‘use your brain, how many times do I have to tell you this?’ So yeah, Gldn is right - there are a lot of people whose ego depends on belittling others.

That's funny because Gldn's whole mission here is belittle atheists. He's said so many times and that's part of his charm. Have you missed theists trash talking atheists?

I went to the video on You Tube...it doesn't even say who he is. I have no way to check his credentials. But you just swallow it.

I am a stone cold how the universe works atheist. I say stone cold because when it comes to describing the universe I am not interested in one feels about the universe and i don't care about how one feels about religion, the universe works the way it works.

ozzy, its a case of not knowing what we don't know here.

we need that source code. we need to investigate how they make computer models.

It may be true that there was a solar eclipse on the moon by the earth. we can even stretch that notion to lensing effects by the earth and the atmosphere.

take a glass, look through the side of the glass at the image behind it. use outside for a better effect. Move the glass back and forth, while looking through the side. record how the image changes from center to edges. take notice of bright and dark spots.

That dude is dangerous ozzy, stay away from him and his teachings.

I’m sure it happens, of course. I’m not personally defending Gldn (don’t know him); I was agreeing with the post at face value. I don’t think mocking or bashing someone for their religious beliefs (or non-belief) is emotionally mature or part of an intelligent debate (and it has a way of negating what people say before they even say it). I did not mean to imply it was one-sided - it was just in response to this particular thread.
