So far, in the few places I looked, I can't find people in that group who have had any movement on their accounts.

With EB kicking in now, they will be 2 programs behind for some people. smh
Yep already thought that and what happens when people are back to work. will it be an excuse for them not to give them the entitled extensions because technically they now have employment after their benefit year expired and or benefits exhausted. Which they wouldn't have had to deal with if NJ UI had their acts together and notified people in a timely fashion. It's not the exhausted claimants fault that NJ DOL/UI can't remedy a system to quickly identify exhausted claimaints who fall within set parameters. Regardless if back to work they were entitled to the 13 weeks of PEUC after benefits exhausted. Whole thing is another crock. "everyone who was entitled to extensions has received them" Yea right. I'm still waiting.

I was in the same situation since April. Exhausted benefits and just told to wait (even by the couple of agents I reached by phone). By the beginning of June, I was livid cause I still didnt get any additional funds or backpay released. I joined a Facebook group called "NJ Unemployment- We need help" and made a note of all email addresses that others in the group listed as "top people" at DOL and group members also suggested I contact my local Assemblyman via email for help. I did just that and included ALL my info in those emails, including last 4 digits of my SS#, initial Claim ID, DOB, phone number, etc...After I sent out emails to these 4-5 people, I received a response the very next day and paid all the back weeks owed to me since April.

But, was told a couple days later via phone call that I was overpaid and my claim is now a mess because I got all those people involved. Lol. Yet, I get a notice in the mail Friday approving me of "additional funds" under PUA. Therefore, not sure if I was still overpaid or not. Bottom line, NJ DOL is a mess! If you are still waiting for that 13 week extension (and it has been months), do NOT wait. Start writing to your local Senators, Assemblymen, etc.. Their emails are publically listed. That was the only way I was able to get help that I desperately needed.

Thanks for the info. Yes as a matter of fact emailed my congressman AGAIN last night. About 6th or 7th one now. Wow after all that they still messed up your claim. I'm perplexed as to why it is such a difficult thing to get it resolved and get people their extensions in place and put their back pay in their accounts. And what if person didn't have COVID reason for a PUA claim and technically aren't eligible for PUA claim.

I got through to someone at the 732 UI phone #. Put me on hold for a length of time. Said will have to have it reviewed by a claims specialist and asked whether I received any notification to which I said nope and it's been 8 weeks and nothing. Asked for my pertinent information (claim date which I asked if he meant the expired benefit year claim date to which he said yes, SS#, DOB). He said I will definitely get an email and MAY get a phone call back from a specialist if need be so to be sure I answer all unknown calls. I asked about the time frame on a response and he said it used to be 7 days but could be longer now since they're backed up. He did take my phone number but after I hung up I realized he never confirmed my email address and wanted to kick myself for not reconfirming it. I'm assuming they will respond to my email that is my login ID for my DOL account for the dashboard and the one I always got confirmations sent to after claiming benefits each week. At this point I don't assume anything though. So basically nothing again. So now have to try to remember to keep my phone glued to me 24/7 and answer every telemarketer call that comes in. LOL

Also realized after I got off the phone with a live human I probably should have asked about my PIN since last time it was used was almost a year ago. Anyone have any experience with that. Only time I needed it online was when I claimed benefits each week. And last time it was used was middle of July 2019. I figure that will be one more problem and I don't think you can just change it from your dashboard unless you have an active claim??? Does anyone know if that's the case?

Well maybe he will though! Maybe a specialist will actually work on your account in the next 7 days.

This is GREAT news that you actually got through to someone. I'm in shock!

Crossing fingers and toes for you.

Based on what I've been reading it doesn't sound so hopeful, especially regarding the 7 day response time. And then even when people were supposedly able to claim they had nothing but problems and message would come up that they had to call back to speak to someone. I did get an email back from another assemblywoman's office (and not the standard rhetoric). They asked for last 4 of SS# and claimant ID # and said they forwarded my info to DOL but again pointed out that they are backed up yea yea yea. But at least someone seemed like they actually sent something over. Who knows at this point. It seems like I've been working on this most of the day, if that's even possible.

It does become so time-consuming. I felt like all I did for weeks was "work on" trying to figure out the PEUC situation and/or try to reach someone at EDD. This has been a very weird experience, to say the least!

I spoke to a rep on 6/30 he opened a ticket for me with a claim specialist and told me to call back in a week if I did not see an update online. Called back today since I have not seen an update. The rep told me he was able to see the ticket that was opened for me last week and that the specialists are backed up. He said it could take up to 10 days for them to look at it and to keep checking my claim status online. Rep also said they are still working on claims for people with exhausted benefits (Scenario A). The reps answering the phones are consultants working from home with limited system access. They can only view information they can't make changes. I'm hoping they will do something soon for us in Scenario A.
