I went to Best Buy Friday evening. I drove through the Lowes parking lot at 7 PM. There was only two cars out front. Are they already closed or did they adjust there hours during there closing phase? Maybe they didn't have enough employees on a Friday night?
Sad note: After 28 years East Coast Music closed sometime this summer. They moved two years ago to Eastgate shopping center. I went there once, but I didn't like the layout; felt too tight and narrow. I didn't think Eastgate was a good choice for them. No one knew they were there, plus they lost their drive-thru service.

I had no idea East Coast was still open. I assumed they closed when they left their location on Charles Blvd where the State Farm office is now. Too bad as they were one of a kind in Greenville.

How comfortable are people from the new apartment complex going to feel walking two blocks down Bonners Lane from Atlantic - especially after the transit center is open - at night?
I'm excited about all of the new developments coming to downtown greenville. That said, (and I hate to be a negative nancy) I ask the same questions. I've never seen a transit center/bus depot/etc. that wasn't full of loiterers. They're always fairly sketchy.

I think the context there though would be that the Police Dept is right there. And the parking lot will be well lighted, likely fenced, etc...and bordered by the RR tracks.

Also, this transit center will be a well lit, clean looking facility. Durham's is likely larger than Greenville's will be but there are parking decks, offices, and restaurants adjacent to it and it doesn't seem to be a negative thing.
