I have lived in Delaware all my life and have to say that there is a new Irish pub in Smyrna called Sheridan's. That is my favorite place to eat.

WOW! ....another local! I went to Smyrna High School (way-back-when) and we frequented Sheridan's, when it was Nancy Finch's Irish Pub ..... Gosh, what was it called then???

I just remembered the name of the place on Glenwood Avenue in Smyrna....Bridgeway's, isn't it? or something like that. It was pretty good for lunch.

I have relatives that live in Dover. When I used to live in New Jersey, we'd stop off at Helen's Sausage House for breakfast on the way back.

An example of one of their sausage dishes:

You might want to check the current edition of Delaware Today. They have an entire section dedicated to just that question. Yummo!

Let's see the places I miss the most....living in East TN now it really stinks to not have good food. You are all so lucky.

The Lobby House (downtown) very yummy food and on the river/lake/water.
Pizza Delight by Giacomo, my favorite pizza (and I am from NJ/NY) Greentree shopping center on Rte 8
Capriottis - my favorite sub place (boy do I miss the caprastrami) - all over DE.
Some Guy's Bagels The closest thing to a NJ bagel you are going to get. My fav. salt with olive cream cheese. Greentree Dr

Hi JaniceG,
Thanks for giving our hometown such great reviews. We've been here almost 2 years and are still finding all kinds of great places to dine. I miss the Italian hoagies we got in PA. Gonna try your recomendation very soon.
