He said he had a moral responsibility to pay attention to something that goes out under his name and took responsibility for that.

Default Paul is a racist idiot and a loser

So now apparently trying to go for the edgy and "sensationalist" bit in an interview by pressing someone for a non-issue topic they've hashed over and explained why it had nothing to do with them for years now is "being a good journalist", according to this piece. And even though the newsletters aren't his, it's still appropriate to headline them as his newsletters.

This is a sure sign that Paul is moving into the limelight and Democrats see him as a real threat to be Obama's challenger (whom he would stomp): They've got the media blasting this guy at every turn.
This man's time has passed. He is better suited advocating for the continuation of slavery or the continuation of Jim Crow laws. He has no place in modern times. The man is a shameful presence and his racist past IS A BIG ISSUE, you bet.

You Paul supporters need to quit chasing your tails while supporting this sinking ship.

That's like me asking you why your now dead child(hypothetical) once hung out with someone who eventually committed a felony 20 years ago. Except, in this case, some people don't accept that you can not possibly know why and your best guess isn't good enough. Then some take it another level and make this assumption that you might be a felon too somehow, despite your record and actions proving to be completely the opposite. If I keep badgering you over this hypothetical, knowing very well that it's not real, how would you react? Then how would you react if I claimed to not believe you? How would you feel if others started to buy into this nonsense? Seriously, I'm not pressing you, but if you could answer this hypothetical, I would genuinely appreciate it.

The media knows this is a dead end. They are just trying to see if anything they can dig up will stick, regardless if it's credible or not.
Except that...he did know about them:

Paul in 1995: Say, have you read my newsletters? « Hot Air

Seriously people, these attacks on Paul are unfounded. How many times does he have to say it? HE DIDN'T WRITE THOSE NEWSLETTERS.
The newsletters were released under his name as official correspondence from himself.
It doesn't matter if they were written by the man in the moon, the fact remains, he approved their release, so, it is up to him to either defend or deny.

As for 'yellow journalism,' not so much. It is simply the nature of politics in this great country.

Yep. Basically he's getting the 'front-runner treatment.' All of this poking and prodding comes with the territory when you reach the big leagues.
Seriously, does anyone really think that their candidate is untouchable?

Ole' Ron sounds like your crazy uncle at a family gathering after he's had too much to drink.

I like this. A lot

Obama is the one who is a shameful presence and filled with a racist past. How long did he attend a church listening to racist rants? Did it stop you or any of the other ignorant sheep from voting for him? Will it stop you from voting for him again? Thought so.

We'll see. Whether it's Paul or not, come November the man who you have a disturbing man crush on is going down in flames.

Joe Scarborough is attempting to attack Ron Paul and his supporters as anti-semitic.

Ron Paul | Anti-Semitism | Lew Rockwell | The Daily Caller

Overall the comments are pretty good at sidelining Scarborough's smear job.
