Tonight's dinner:

Homemade clam chowder
Mixed Vegetables
Tossed salad

Going forward, my menus are going to look like the cooking show CHOPPED. Five or six mystery ingredients in my concerted effort to rid myself of 12 years worth of odd items that have been clogging up my pantry space.

With some luck and a lot of good home cooking, I will work off all of the excess.

I have some chicken breasts out of the freezer but don't know if they'll be thawed in time for dinner. Plan on just seasoning them and doing them on the George Foreman grill. Hopefully my new microwave will be here today and I can steam some veggies to go with.

We are having chicken brats topped with marinara sauce, and pasta. I am making a green salad to go with it; that will be plenty for our tummies.
