My dinner's for the next 7 days from my big weekly cookout: Boeuf Bourguignonne, Chili and two meatloaf creations, each lathered inside with Swiss Cheese.
Also been eating a number of BLT's this week. Is there a finer sandwich in this whole world!!!
In my pantry was the most disgusting food item ever (that I got from someone moving out of his apartment): canned asparagus. So I blended it up with mayonnaise, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice and spices to make a dressing, and fine cut cabbage. I'm making a a slaw. I dunno what I'm having with it, but it's dressed in a bowl for later. Now I'm thinking about other canned vegetable grossness I might have in the cupboard that I can blend up for dressings.
sounds interesting if nothing less. Actually canned asparagus can be used in a soup, but there is very few canned vegetables that are even edible in my estimation. We do eat canned beets, I keep canned corn for rare occasions and a variety of canned beans for things like bean salad. Even then, I only use them maybe once every year.
Tonight we will have baby meatballs flavored with fresh dill, parsley, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, onion. With it scalloped potatoes, garlic bean salad and a tomato/parsley salad. For dessert a fruit salad with bananas, apples, pears, oranges, kiwi, grapes, slivered almonds, pinch of sugar and lemon juice. Optional as we like it ,, Cointreau '' ...we love our little ,,,something'' in our dessert
