It's not our problem to "take care of." Send them HOME and let Mexico deal with it.

You have stated that we should be willing to spend untold millions to educate them so that they might make a net contribution to US society. If they are that needy then they should not be allowed to come here in the first place. What on earth is the point of potentially allowing millions with a grade school education to legally immigrate to the US? Why can't we select for skilled immigrants who already have an education and will be an asset?
Life will be the same. Speeding up the process with some sort of mechanism (reduce visas/citizenship during hars economic downturn...or something along those lines) will reduce illegal immigration. Coyotes are affiliated with gangs. Having a harder process will only line the pockets of gangs.

Again, there are a lot of issues regarding the immigration debate.

Well, clearly it is our problem because they are coming here.

Deportation doesn't work...we have seen the results already.

Which is why we need to make it not our problem anymore

We've also seen the results of amnesty already. Remember how well that turned out?

And deportation would work if they couldn't get back in.

And I repeat: watch the economy...........if things become much worse--------every 'legal' tool will be used to force the illegals out of the USA.

Besides: what Uncle Sam giveth (Civil Rights for Americans), Uncle Sam can taketh--------stripping Anchor Babies below a certain age/born after a certain date of US citizenship thus paving the way for mass deportations.

Once again you completely sidestepped the questions I raised.

You asked "why"and I answered. B/C they will come regardless, so let's create a process which addresses the need and does not create a black market. How is this sideswiping?

Just because I didn't relate it to an absurd notion that increased LEGAL (by creating an easier mechanism). immigration will bring our nation to collapse, doesn't mean the question was not answered.

Obviously they will come, hence why people come back after being deported. So instead of a cat and mouse game, why not create mechanisms that ensure that they are employed, getting an education, useful, as well as restricting the black market to bring them over here?

Talk about a slap in the face of legal immigrants who played by the rules.

Again: why should criminal behavior be rewarded---------especially with our sick economy?

Bottom line: it needs to be tough to immigrate to the USA.
