Too dramatic? (law, healthcare, American, deportation)

Why? We currently have a population in excess of 300 million people. We add one million more each year through legal immigration. How many more do you think we should add? Once again, this is a great deal for the impoverished, unskilled, poorly educated people south of the border and a bad deal for the average American. You have stated that we should be willing to spend untold millions to educate them so that they might make a net contribution to US society. If they are that needy then they should not be allowed to come here in the first place. What on earth is the point of potentially allowing millions with a grade school education to legally immigrate to the US? Why can't we select for skilled immigrants who already have an education and will be an asset?
Life will be the same. Speeding up the process with some sort of mechanism (reduce visas/citizenship during hars economic downturn...or something along those lines) will reduce illegal immigration. Coyotes are affiliated with gangs. Having a harder process will only line the pockets of gangs.
Again, there are a lot of issues regarding the immigration debate.
Deportation doesn't work...we have seen the results already.
And I repeat: watch the economy...........if things become much worse--------every 'legal' tool will be used to force the illegals out of the USA.
Besides: what Uncle Sam giveth (Civil Rights for Americans), Uncle Sam can taketh--------stripping Anchor Babies below a certain age/born after a certain date of US citizenship thus paving the way for mass deportations.

Just because I didn't relate it to an absurd notion that increased LEGAL (by creating an easier mechanism). immigration will bring our nation to collapse, doesn't mean the question was not answered.
Obviously they will come, hence why people come back after being deported. So instead of a cat and mouse game, why not create mechanisms that ensure that they are employed, getting an education, useful, as well as restricting the black market to bring them over here?
