I'm not too well read on Mitch Daniels, but my understanding is that he represents smaller government and lower taxes/pro growth policies that Obama does not. Daniels and Obama (tax, spend and regulate) don't have that much in common. I doubt the landscape of Indiana has changes significantly. I would agree that McC took IN for granted while Obama ran an excellent campaign in the state. Despite a relatively less robust economy, IN has a budget surplus unlike most of its peers in the Midwest (which are heavily Democratic).

Alot of these things i don't think could ever happen if they would be really hard to do, not to mention indy would have to have a HUGE population growth.
Downtown- We need to expand the downtown finincial dist, starting at W ohio st & N senate ave all the way up to W 10 st. and all the way east by N delaware st.
( but with mem park still there.) With in that area we need to expand our skyline maby 4-8
skyscraper( no details on the business) i think i would be nice to build a Macey's, an Art museum and a virgin moble mega store, not to mention alot of little shops and food places to eat at.
From North Delaware ST to the high way I would like to to be more urban residential with a AMC movie theater, bestbuy and target with alot more condos and apartments built within the area. Around 9th street i would like to make a mini theater dist maby like off broadway plays
Northside- Fishers being the more family friendly setting should get a ZOO/aquarium that rivals that of the St louis Zoo.( chicago has over 2 zoo's why cant we?) and a 6 flags (don't ask me where) but i'm tired of driving while EVERy other city around use has a park!
carmel- first they should get a new mall, north carmel should be developed to attract the younger people that come in building condos and apartments. i want people to compare North carmel to North hollywood with clubs, shops, and restaurants. West carmel would be the new part (since i think carmel is claiming land out west anyway) New Huge houses would be put up that would rivial Buckhead in atlanta. We should also move victory field over to carmel to expand the convenction center downtown. and there would also be another convention center in carmel. oh yeah and a legoland.
South- Not alot here Greenwood should get a water park like the one in Denver and apublic observatory in franklin. i have some more on the events and cultural dist i would like to have here but that will come later, tell me what u think.

I agree with you about the Downtown area those are great suggestions. I think Victory Field should stay where it is but that is my opinion. comparing North Carmel to North Hollywood would be great then maybe a celeb or two might come here! A legoland? never thought of that. that is a cool idea although it would probably have to be mainly indoors. i dont think Fishers needs a GIGANTIC zoo but maybe a small scale one. It wouldnt bother me if West Carmel was better than Buckhead in Atlanta. I think a Public Water Park is great for Greenwood. Greenwood should also develop a greenway system. Just about every community in the Indy area has a greenway system.
I also think that Indy should invest in a street car system. They work Great in Germany where they call them the U-bahn.

You have some interesting ideas.
First; moving Victory Field to Carmel would be silly. There is absolutly no reason to do that.
I would love to see a giant aquarium here. I love the Newport Aquarium in Newport, KY. Be it downtown or in Fishers; I would like that. The one at the zoo ain't cuttin it. I like Newport on the Levee; I would like to see something like that along South Street in downtown Indy. However, I think downtown Indy is generally good enough as is; I don't think we don't need to go crazy expanding it. I would rather have a few blocks of fury than a large scale empty downtown. We couldn't sustain a financial district all the way up to 10th Street; at least not yet.
I don't think we need another zoo, we are not big enough to support another zoo. Chicago is so much bigger than Indy and can can support two zoos; we can't.
I want an amusement park. I don't want a crappy one like KY Kingdom though; let's get something like King's Island or Holiday World up here! Be it in Greenwood or Frnaklin or Sheridan; I don't care. Someone make it happen!! It is not like there aren't any giant empty fields surrounding us!
