Better yet, just gouge out the eyes of every male once he hits puberty. It's the only way to be sure.

lol I think just lock them in a room. Take away their right to drive, get an education, vote. Don't let them leave unless they have a female escort to make sure they don't misbehave. Lets see what else have I missed?

It kills me that muslim women defend this whole notion that they are responsible for a mans behavior and it gets turned into the idea that she is being protected and that is a good thing.

i`m not to condradict myself....but plz try to understand me.
the original concept is to keep woman body from eyes of men wether their looks are bad or good ...but the is a general basis in our religion which is necessity allow the forbidden things....and according to that general base, i told you that i can visit a male doctor if i`m ill coz it`s necessity but still i`ll prefer female doctor but if male doctor is more clever, i`ll ask his advice according to the general base i told you before

i wish u understand me
You are very respectful and polite and I appreciate that. I am a woman, and I find it disrespectful that you have to hide yourself because your men cant control themselves. You are paying for their animal ways. I would think that if it is the man that has the problem, he should be the one to have to pay for it not you.

I see muslim women covered up from head to toe while their husbands and sons have short sleeve shirts on and shorts in 100 degree weather. That is not right......

please review the verse i sent you coz it ordered both men and women to restrain their eyes-sights
women also shouldn`t give her eye-sight free to look to male body.
but the beauty in the female body present in most of her body so she must cover most of her body.
In Islam, man should cover his body from his umbilicus till his knee
Believe me Hijab is not annoying thing and it doesn`t prevent us from practicing our lives.

and plz if u`re christian, tell me
coz i`ve a quote from Bible telling that woman must be covered

nobody is saying that you can't say anything, quite the contrary you have that freedom to do that as do I and anyone else, back in the "olden days"
as you call it, it was the Christian religious women groups that was behind the laws of indecency and were the prudes of that time it was not until the late 50s when the bikini was first introduced from France that things started changing in women's swimwear. During the early 20th century women were still looked upon unfavorably if they showed a little bit of bare ankle and it wasn't until the roaring 20s and 30s that women's dress style started to change and hemlines became higher. It was the women themselves that dictated the changes.

1stly i must thank u so much
2ndly....the order protection is dual by keeping hiding the beautiful body and also by asking men to restrain their eyes- sights.

i understand you in disliking hidding yourself...but hidding ur body not mean hidding urself coz ur face is exposed , and i think my face is the most part in my body which express me

u told me that we (women) not to pay for their animal way by wearing hijab,,,, but actually will pay our diginity and more if we were subjected to any sexual harassment.

Covering most of your body, will allow the other to concentrate on your talk or ur ideas and not to get busy with ur exposed body.
i know it`s not applies to all people but remember the example of vaccine

I think we also have to remember that the implementation of Islam differs in different Islamic countries. I think one look at Queen Rania or Queen Noor of Jordan displels the notion that all Islam decrees "coverings". I am starting to think that Islam is as varied in its practice as Christianity. Unfortunately, the crazy fundies get all the press.

Why do you think all looks are sexual harassment when you wear a simple shirt and pants? I dont get those. Sure I am considered an attractive woman, but I have not had problems. In fact when I get told I am beautiful, it makes me feel good. Woman like to know they are attractive and there is nothing wrong with that. Wearing a shirt and pants or skirt is not an exposed body. We were born with that body, we should have to hide it or be ashamed.

No being covered from head to toe is not uncomfortable in 100 degree weather... give me a break..... they are even dressed in black from head to toe.....

Hmmmm women covered and men uncovered..
Hmmmm Yes I know the Qur'an says both men and women should restrain their gaze. But men don't have to work so hard because the women are covered from head to toe.....

And to my religion I am not a Christian. I am Jewish. Within Christianity and Judaism there is a spectrum of practice..

It is Islam that expects submission...
