I've been dealing with a nice woman named Bonnie for over a month, submitting documents and forms trying to get approval for a two bedroom unit. I submitted the last of these docs. on Friday and just called to follow up. I was just informed that she no longer works with the company. When I inquired about the reason for her termination the young lady who answered the phone just said that she wasn't what she appeared to be "vindictive" was actually the word she used. So sorry to see her go because she was the only contact person I had and was very helpful. I'm afraid to think of what's going to now happen with the application and the whole process because of this internal shake-up

Yeah...that's right! Only the deposit, which is the first month's rent. So usually when people pay 2 month's worth of rent, equaling 2 months in rent, we'll just be responbile for one.
@thedawn...I dred having to walk that distance in the middle of the winter...Snow and ice can be a b*&ch when you have to trek through it. As for the area, like I said before...it most definitely isn't the idealist places to reside. I spoke with a couple of people and they put it to me like this. You can live anywhere in this world and face danger in any form. Its all about how aware you are. The underpass that I have to walk underneath seems really scary. It looks like it will hardly be lit at night. Yes, there is a police station up the block, but that honestly means nothing at all. I've seen and heard of stuff happening right in front of the police station. I think what the neighborhood needs is more lighting and more patroling. I'm also hoping that there will be more retail spaces opening and more housing located in that area. There's a big empty looking lot near by and I think that would be a great location for a playground or community park. I also think that the area in front of the building (the backside of BBTB) would make a nice waterfront park. Something that offers seating and maybe a walk path or something. Its really wouldn't be a bad area over there if it was utilized appropiately. All of those improvements would GREATLY make the feel of the neighborhood more safe and comfortable.

I also already had proof of credit info when I went in to the interview. I had access to the freecreditreport.com website and would have gladly given username and password but was told that it wasn't acceptable. That can't be altered. Not so simple to me!

The building was not completed. The upper floors were not finished however, I believe everything up to the 6th or 7th floor was done. The view from those were nice also.

Gesh, this building is still not complete and they wonder why they failed inspection the first time. I wonder what's taking so long and will that effect the lease signing come September?

I don't think it will. If you've already picked a unit on the floors that are already completed or nearly completed, you should be fine. The apartments that I saw on the 6th floor looked 100% completed. Just that some minor things needed to be done, such as moving the fridge into place and a good mopping and dusting. Those minor details. The upper floors however, won't be done until later.
