Right now the dew point is 60 degrees and humidity is 35%, the average in the summer months are low to high 50s on the dew point levels in Phoenix but it can be higher or lower depending on the amount of tropical air coming in from the south.

I think it’s probably still lower than Florida during our stickiest time of year but since a lot of us are used to and like dry heat it feels pretty nasty. Although it does make your skin nice.

Don't know about this SAD thing, but what you're experiencing is what most longtime and forever Arizonans usually experience: the great appreciation for clouds and rain.

That would be the exact opposite of what most transplants and tourists want to talk about: clouds and rain. They're flabbergasted that we'd even mention such an awful thing! They always proclaim that they came here for our Arizona heat and sun.

Of course they say that... unless they came here in the dead of summer!

Yes, but only a few days each summer.

This morning it was at 60% humidity with a dewpoint of 70 degrees. Read: Florida-like. My sunglasses fogged up stepping outside, and everything is coated in mud thanks to the dust storm that turned into rain. July through mid-September is disgusting in Phoenix. Absolutely gross. I don't care what anyone here says, its really not desirable at all. It might be "drier" than many places during mid day, but mornings and evenings are sticky, sticky, sticky.

It poured at my house last night! Smells like desert rain.

I enjoyed the 81 degrees and perfect dirt riding on the trails this morning, yes it is super sweaty and makes me appreciate the dry heat we have the other 10 months of the year that aren’t mid July to mid Sept but the rain was a welcome change no doubt. No mud in our area luckily.

Hoping we get some more rain tonight.

I loved the rain, but this swampy air has got to go. Temps dropped last night to 74 degrees where I'm at, and it felt awesome! But stepping outside this morning reminds me just how much I despise high dew points.
