I always invite my Dw to come with me to any party or function I have been invited to attend.

Whether she accompanies me, or not, I tend to behave myself, in the same manner, either way.

If this is the case, I'm curious as to why your friend would comment about it at all.

You'd have to ask her that....she heard *bachelor party* & immediately started to talk about some party her husband went to yrs. ago. Men are men......I'm not naive.....but it probably has to do with her own insecurity or not trusting her husband. So...she was surprised I didn't feel the same way....or maybe she was surprised because she knew it was the first Saturday night we had not been together since I moved here....

I wouldn't mind. My husband doesn't do that kind of thing very often. I think he's been to two bachelor parties since we met and one of them was his own! However his brother wasn't allowed to come to his bachelor party.

He wasn't *allowed*? See....if a man keeps a female from going to a bachelorette party, that would be called controlling & people lose their minds! But.....for a woman to say her man can't go to a bachelor party, that's Ok....when it is being just as controlling IMO!

It's not really a thing, here, because our friends who are getting married are for the most part second-time-arounders, have low-key weddings without all the trimmings, so they're kind of out of the "big rite of passage" bachelor party thing. My husband was 41 when we got married, first marriage, and he had zero interest in having one, himself...just kinda past that stage of things.

I've never cared about people being involved in that sort of thing, though. If I'd been with guys I didn't feel I could trust, that would be a whole other issues, and bachelor parties would be the least of my worries.

Stuff like this is more common.

Of course it wouldn't bother me if my husband went to a bachelor party. No pearl clutching if they ended up at a strip club. I don't think it's ever happened, but if it did, meh.
