Whatever the outcome, I am so glad I experienced everything I've shared with all of you.
I was previously depressed, in an apartment I disliked, and instead overcame my fears and fell back in love with nature. So, no matter what happens, I will have partially lived my dream.
I am optimistic though. I've had a stent and it's not that bad. Fingers crossed.
Having a hard time getting to sleep tonight. Guess it's because of the test tomorrow.
My little brother, Jim, passed away at age 42 from a heart attack. I fell apart because he was scheduled for surgery, not soon after that and I was so angry that they didn't catch it sooner that he needed surgery immediately.
He was so special to me. I'll never forget when my mom called and said my brother was coming to live with me because he had to be by the University Hospital which specialized in his syndrome, Marfans. Marfans syndrome affects the neurological systems, which includes the heart and eyes.
I was 19 and he was 18 at the time. He went totally blind when he was 21 due to detached retinas. He rebelled and was very bitter for about a year, then he decided to live the best he could, went on to college, became involved with a group of other people with disabilities and they eventually got the statutes for handicapped walkways and Braille elevators elected.
I was so proud of him, and all the group, who often met in my house for their meetings.
This is nothing like what I'm going through now, but I feel his presence and am comforted.
Sorry for the outburst, just am worried and can't sleep.
Meo, i'm Praying for you. I'm praying the results from your MRI are very fine & you don't have a serious problem. You deserve many lustrum of happiness & fun exploring areas of beauty that you are interested in & dream about...
Thanks Hawk. Not much I can say until the MRI is done and the results in.
Durncat, yes I'm glad I'm here, where the clinic has my records going back years and the Doctor who did the tests for my back injury practices here. I feel very comfortable with him.
Wow, what a test. First, you have to be perfectly still And they put a cage like device over your face. Then there is a continuous banging while the machine does it's job - for 1/2 an hour or so. Then you're pulled out and they stick dye in your elbow and put you.back in the machine and you listen to more banging for ten minutes or so.
Thankfully I watched a video of the process last night and sort of knew what to expect. Nothing would have prepared me for all the noise though. I didn't have a headache when I went in but I sure did when I left.
Now it's a waiting game until they read the results and get back to my doctor next week.
Meo, it sounds like you may have had a transient ischemic attack. It sounds like the physicians are one it.
Anyway, sending good thoughts your way. Glad you are seeking professional care. Which is far better than any of use online can offer. Hoping for a good outcome for you.

It does sound like that. I had to look it up as I had no idea what that is.
I recently bought two good books on eating better and, unbeknownst to me, I was on the right track while traveling, mainly because I didn't have refrigeration. More fruit, even though most were in the cups that are meant more for snacks as they were easy to find room for and satisfied any sugar cravings. I also ate a lot of canned vegetables and soups which were easy to store and cook.
The books I got are: Eat To Live, by Joel Fuhrman, M.D. and The Starch Solution, by John A. McDougall, M.D. Both advocate plant based eating. Dr. McDougall is more radical in that he recommends eating no dairy, meat or even fish. Dr. Fuhrman isn't quite so radical and recommends eating mainly vegetables, fruits and nuts. Both books are helpful.
It's a lot easier keeping salad fixings and fresh fruit while I have refrigeration and I am loading up on those things now. Thankfully I love salad and fruit so this is definitely not a problem.
