Oh my gosh yes! I love her channel. I didn't realize she was here. I'll have 1 try find her.
Thank you.
She may be hard to find for a bit. She traveled coast to coast and is taking a break to recharge. She goes out into the dingles. She drove 21, 000 miles this year!
2008 is when my, and a lot of other folks, world came crashing down. Losing my job and being unable to find another. That was tough because I'd always been able to find a good job, well once I became adult enough to be a valued employee.
Losing the house, having to file bankruptcy, which I put off for far too long, then the car accident. Yikes, my life was in such turmoil!
But you're right, it led to many good things.
The neighborhood where my house was, in St Paul, became a target for thieves. There were many break-ins, the have nots wanting the things people had. It got to the point that I had a security system put in and, as a single older female, I didn't even dare have my windows open. Pretty scary time.
It's tough to live in fear. I couldn't even sell my house because the value plummeted to less than half of it's original value. Tough time for a lot of us. I also lost 2/3 of my pension before I pulled the remaining funds out. Then I put that money into trying to save the house. Not a fun time.
I wish I'd known about this type of living but I probably would have been too scared to try it back then. Older and wiser now. I was 55 back then, I'm 68 now.

I just checked her latest video and you're right. She's somewhere in the desert, which is a vast area and even though the LTVA ''s are BLM land they are not free, whereas regular BLM land is. It looks like she is far away from everyone.
I'm not ready for that yet. I am an introvert but still need some of the amenities the LTVA provides, bathrooms, garbage and water. I also like knowing there are people around in case I need help with something.
When I saw Amber walking through some of that desert brush, all I was thinking was what if she was bitten by a rattlesnake or a scorpion?? She does enjoy solitude but being that “alone†would make me nervous, especially at night in the van. Maybe her friend Dave was closer than we realized.
Hi meo, no need for you to reply to this, I just wanted to say hi & I'm glad you made it safely to Quartzsite.
