A Christian SHOULD be defined as someone who follows Christ, NOT a book! The fact that they have followed a book instead of Christ for millennia is no excuse to continue doing so. The truth is in the book, but it must be interpreted using God's Holy Spirit of agape love and forgiveness revealed unambiguously by Jesus Christ on the Cross. Your refusal to do so deliberately retains the corruptions created by our ancestors' failure to do so! God will not be pleased.
Jesus said that the holy scriptures are "they which testify of me." (John 5:39-40)
It is written of Jesus in the entire volume of the Book (Hebrews 10:7).
Known unto God are all His works from the beginning of creation (Acts 15:18).
Also, the scriptures do not need to be tested because the apostles who penned them were already tested by the early church and found to be true (Revelation 2:2).
The trees were found to be good trees, we can trust that the fruit that falls from their branches is also good.
Mystic, why don't you start teaching us through a book in the Bible, verse-by-verse, instead of promoting your one-sided view that is always being spoken by you?
You sound like a one-stringed guitar.
Maybe if you were forced to teach out of the Bible, there might be a little bit more of a variety in what you say to us.
As it is, your every post is very predictable and you say the same thing every time:
"God is exemplified by an unambiguous demonstration of agape love when Jesus died on the Cross; there is no wrath in God; Jesus didn't die so that your sins might be forgiven but only to set an example of what we are supposed to be like."
Well, if that is the case, then start saying to people what Jesus did and face the consequences so that you also can demonstrate the agape love of God in the same way that Jesus did; in dying on the Cross.
Because according to you, Jesus dying on the Cross was merely our example that we are to follow, am I right?
So, follow His example and demonstrate God's agape love by going and dying on a Cross.
Maybe you can play the part of Jesus in a Catholic passion play.
Because your way to salvation is to follow Jesus' example, correct?
In your economy, it has nothing to do with the fact that Jesus died in your place.

Parroting these platitudes of ignorance will not change anything. There are scrolls which tell us about Jesus. That does NOT mean the entire book is about Jesus. You stubbornly and ignorantly infer that using your own biased understanding to your detriment.
I also find that you are one who has the tendency to relate the same platitudes over and over again in different ways so that my response to you platitudes can only be the same as my response has always been; the same scriptures that refuted them in times past, also refute them today.
I also agree it is about one person, each and everyone of us.
It's one huge parable, if you take the time to think about it.
