That word fitted is in the passive voice, God is fitting them for destruction. You think God loves that person ??
yes he loves them and it is because he loves them he fitted them for destruction. The old man will is being destroyed as Christ is being formed in them.

I very much admire those of you who have escaped. I did not have to overcome any such indoctrination but I can see how difficult it is to escape from it. But I am just as grateful to God for calling me out of atheism which is as much a self-delusion and self-congratulation of one's intelligence not to believe that silly stuff about God! It was indeed a shock to be so soundly shown to be wrong. It has been as grueling and long a road for me to be where I am today but I am definitely grateful for it.

I find no condemnation concerning my own life in the Christian faith.
I think that perhaps you have misunderstood the message of the Bible or else you have never surrendered your life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and therefore the Christian faith speaks condemnation to your soul.
But the Holy Ghost, to this day, convicts the world of sin and of righteousness and of judgment.
And, thinking that you have escaped the Christian faith is not going to change that in your life.
