Hmmm...lust, greed, wrath...pretty much most of the 12 big ones.

Sorry, just popped in to find if we had found the missing loving Christians yet.

If someone dies of a car accident does that count or is it just old people that die of sin? If someone was sinless could they be killed by other means like being pushed off a cliff or would they somehow survive that if they were sinless?

Death is a result of sin in the world. Not a SPECIFIC sin, but sin, in general.

So, Jesus ate food. We know this because he fasted. Why eat food if you are sinless? Obviously, a human body, even a sinless one, has certain needs.

It's only the body that dies according to many of the beliefs here. The spirit goes on to either heaven or hell. So it's only the sinful body that dies. Sinful spirits don't die so sin cannot be the cause of death and even if it was it would only be the body.

You have much to learn, as you have not been given immortality at this point of your journey.

But Jesus died. You can say He took on the sin of the world and that's why He died. It wasn't good enough tho because we are still talking about sin.

I still can't fathom how anybody who has held a newborn baby in their arms could call it a sinner and think it's deserving of hellfire and damnation. That's simply not using one's God-given ability to reason.

Why has there not been one single person born into this world, other than Christ, who has never sinned?
Along with death from disobedience came total depravity. This fallen nature (the sin nature) passed down to us from Adam is indeed in the genes of man! We cannot help but to sin!
Scientists can no more understand or detect this than they can understand where God came from! I myself can certainly not understand it.
Scientists certainly can understand this, Charlie. All animals have the source of their survival drives and it is indiscriminate. That means it has no ability to discriminate among drives except by their outcome for survival using pain and pleasure as its only indicators. If a response to a stimulus is pleasurable, it will approach and seek it. If a response results in pain, it will avoid and escape from it. That is the so-called source of sin because it has no other criteria to choose what stimuli to respond to and which to avoid.

Our Spirit DOES have the ability to make fine discriminations that do not always involve satisfying our selfish ends. Indulging our selfish ends at the expense of others (including our survival, not just pain and pleasure) without agape love is what sin is all about. It is also what Jesus perfectly demonstrated on the Cross even at the expense of pain and the loss of His physical life to achieve for the rest of us what we could not.

Man can explain how death comes about, but man cannot explain why death must come about but by scripture! Man only knows what God has allowed him to know!

We die because we are mortals and mortals die. Once Adam and Eve were expelled from Eden, they had the ever-present threat of death hanging over them. They could die within the week or years later, but eventually mortal bodies succumb to disease or illness. If a day-old baby with a severe heart defect dies, it is because of that heart defect and not because it committed some sin.

It dies because it has a nature of sin (1 John 1:8); otherwise known as a "child of wrath nature" (Ephesians 2:3).
